This is the closest I've found to brewing timmies at home.

One of these with these = pretty awesome tasting coffee.

Okay that is amazing because I just had the exact same revelation. I got a Keurig for Christmas and my first thought was to get Timmies (I live in Texas, so that's a real pain in the ass.) I tried that coffee in the sample pack and thought it was pretty close. I also bought the adapter so I could brew my buy Tims, ship it down, etc...but now I'm not sure I'll go to the trouble. Any signs of Tims KCup in the future?

Don't forget, if you're going for a double-double, you want to use 18% cream, not half-and-half or milk.

On my shopping list now, thanks.

I don't know if tims would do it or not. I have the adapters as well..haven't tried them yet though.

EDIT: It MAY be a possibility as I see Starbucks has dropped Tassimo and is moving to Keurig in march, they may for competition purposes. It seems like Keurig is going to end up being the winner out of these sort of machines.

As well it should be. My dad's got a Tassimo and it sucks. For one thing, you can't select a mug size. For another, every disk brews a different amount. If you have a Nabob disk, you'd better have a bucket under there because if you don't it'll overflow.

No way! I just combined cat piss with stale, warm beer and almost exactly replicated Tim's coffee too!

Excellent description of Tim's crappy coffee.

Timmy's sucks, Keurig sucks. Buy your own beans, a nice Burr grinder and a french press.

Edit: fixed typo

On what grounds do you say Tim's sucks? Because it's the most popular quick-service chain in the country?
And as for Keurig--whatever. There are over three hundred different flavours of K-Cups available. Their customer service sends you a new machine if yours breaks down, no questions asked. Obviously they're doing something right.

None of that criteria says 'good coffee'. Timmy's does well because it's a familiar, faux-patriotic coffee chain that produces coffee for a fee most Canadians can afford, but laced with so much sugar and 20% cream you can't even taste it.

Good coffee also doesn't mean every flavour under the sun freeze dried into little over-priced individual packets and customer service.

You've been taken in by marketing.

It's really just a question of preference isn't it? I live in the States in an area where Starbucks is fairly dominant. Starbucks is okay, but I like Tim's as well, probably better since to me, it's different and hard to get. Hey, I've been in Canada and seen our crappy American beer on drink menus, so clearly there is no accounting for taste. As for the Keurig, I love it. Granted, it does seem a bit wasteful, but since I'm the only one in the house who drinks coffee at least I'm not pouring out half a pit everything I want a cup. That, and I recycle more than anyone in the neighborhood, so I'm going to grant myself a waiver on the guilt thing.

Sure it's preference, but when you think your only choices are two large chains or freeze dried pucks than you don't know what you're missing. I've stated this elsewhere, but try buying your own beans (then you can actually build up a list of choices to have a preference from), a burr grinder and a french press for real coffee!

I've been taken in by several flavours of Keurig K-Cups that taste fantastic, among them Wild Blueberry and Sugar Bush Maple. As for Tim Horton's, you may have a point--but since Starbucks tastes like road tar to me, I'll continue to enjoy what I like and you can enjoy what you like.

Well, considering it's the only machine of this type that offers re-usable filters....Also, they don't make the coffee. Coffee makers do.

How many flavours of K-Cup have you tried? All of them, I'd guess.
