A shotgun is a shotgun imo unless you're looking for hunting or other performance. If it functions reliably and it's trustworthy to keep at your bedside at night, budget just means a good deal.

Yup. It's currently the only firearm I own, so I'm training with it at the range next weekend.

Congrats, with the money you saved you can get more shells for more practice (and hopefully not at an absurd price). Any gun is better than no gun.

Yeah, going price around here is $2/shell. Shit's crazy

Two dollars a shell? What are you shooting?

Honestly, if I could only ever own one gun, it'd be a shotgun. You can put in birdshot to hunt small game and hit clay targets, you can put in slugs for bigger game, you can put in buckshot for self defense... it's so versatile.

It's short range even with slugs though. That's the only issue. If anyone reading this can shoot far with slugs then more power to you.

I love it. I’m a shotgun/9mm pistol guy myself and I’ve wanted to make a “SSA” patch or something with a play on the SRA logo, lol. Socialist Shotgun Association just doesn’t have the same ring.

These are great. Can't beat the price. Which is why I own four 😁

Are you better armed than before? Then you have done well, Comrade. That's a heck of a price.

Put a light on that rail and your golden. I'd recommend Streamlight at a minimum for budget friendly quality. Ignore Olight they are hand grenades.

Thanks!

Just out of curiosity was this from Sportsman's Warehouse?

2
RIPdeadswitchOP•

No, it was from a local gunshop in Illinois

If you can, look into getting an extra 28" barrel if you don't have one already. Having the option to swap barrels makes this gun a hunting gun, self-defense gun, and clays gun all in one!

I'll check it out, thanks!
