X-Fi Titanium CMSS-3D under Windows 10 20H2

I'm attempting to swap my SBZ for an older Ti right now for CMSS-3D support, alongside proper EAX support.

My main issue currently is that I've only been able to get the effect working (properly, with positional 5.1) under Foobar2000, using the legacy WASAPI support plugin in push or event configuration.

I've had zero luck with Media Player Classic, VLC, or any other media player.

My test file for whether it's working is the 2006 Immersion 5.1 release of Dark Side of the Moon, specifically the opening of Money due to the very clear distinction between channels.

How this SHOULD sound (Captured with Audacity, via Foobar2000, DSD : WASAPI (push))

How this sounds in everything else (Audacity, Foobar2000, WASAPI (shared)/Default)

I'm at a loss as to how to correct for this, obviously exclusive mode WASAPI is out of the question for general use, but my real use case for this, aside from gaming, is media consumption. SBX never had nearly as nice of a virtual surround implementation as CMSS-3D (probably, if I had to guess, due to it being a hardware feature).

I can't get any other media player to work with it in any configuration I have tried.

ONLY Foobar2000 will output the right audio, and ONLY in one very specific configuration.

Perhaps this is a result of all the futzing about with the Windows Audio subsystem that Microsoft has done, but I'm hoping there's some way to properly configure this in newer Windows versions.

I figured I'd post this here as this seems like it'd be the right place. I'm hoping someone out there has figured this out.

If anyone is thinking about saying "X-Fi is unsupported" or "Upgrade", yes, I know. I initially upgraded to the SBZ because my X-Fi Platinum had started regularly messing up in Windows 7. I'm just missing the true hardware 3D for older games and virtual surround that the X-Fi series was the last true bastion of.

Have you tried Daniel_K’s drivers?

First and only driver pack I installed because I've always trusted his driver packs.

Admittedly, I haven't tried the latest official drivers, but I know that those are what's included in Support Pack 5.0, along with other nice to haves that aren't included in the official driver anymore (like the console launcher).

This is the only thing I haven't been able to get to work.

You haven’t been able to get the console launcher to work?

Console launcher works, it's just CMSS-3D that doesn't work properly.

I'm guessing you know what you're doing within win 10 setting speaker config to 7.1 or 5.1 and then in the console setting the speaker config to headphones before you're attempting CMSS?

I run a Tit HD and have no issues, everything works with Daniels driver pack.
