Privacy Settings

QUESTION

In STW, both my daughter and I have our Privacy Settings set to Friends (with the Friends of Friends checkbox unchecked). When I start a mission (with or without a party), I don't get any random people joining, which is what I want. When she starts a mission (with or without a party), she gets random people joining. She has also tried setting her privacy to private, and it still allows random people to join. We recently started playing again after approximately 2 years, so I'm not well-versed on any changes made in that time.

Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Make sure shes actually saving the privacy settings instead of just switching it to private/friendsonly and just exiting

It's definitely saved. I did it myself for her. My son had the same thing happen yesterday as well. Not sure what's going on.

Hmmm. Im not too sure then, ive never had that problem and i only play on private. You could dig around in settings but im not sure whats there that could help. Only other thing id do is restart my game or console/pc, but ik most people already do that everyday

Is your daughter starting a mission using the ? with a circle around it? That's the Play With Others tool that specifically pairs you with other players regardless of your current privacy settings.

Sorry for the delayed reply. No, she's not starting the help others mission. I haven't found anything wrong with her settings, so not sure what's going on with it.
