Porsche Cup at Canada Mosport Park is a great combination

Cars/Tracks

I've not driven the 911 Cup much, but I like it. So much detail in the handling and force feedback. And it feels amazing on this track. The car can bite, the track can bite, it's not a boring combo I promise you. Give it a try if you like either.

Honestly, almost any car and Mosport make a great combination. Such an underrated track.

I came here to say the same thing! So good to drive in so many different cars. Produces good racing too!

Indeed! What a great track. Just bought it last week for 911Cup and loved the track instantly.

Yeah its a great combo if the front of the field can make it through t1 at lap one. Ive been tearing my hair out a couple of races now. Start-look at people rushing-seeing cars fly everywhere once i round the corner-brake to not hit 4 cars in every position known to man scattered around the track-get buttfucked by someone who doesnt give a shit and only see's and oppurtunity to get his first top 10 ever-iget instant meatball and his car looks completely fine and he can finish the race no prob.

I remember doing timing for the Porsche 944 races at Mosport. With a stopwatch. And paper. And a pencil. Not quite as current as the noted tech. :D

Still, I would recommend!

Thanks for the reminder. This is really tempting! I hope I have time to try it.

Fun fact: The Porsche Cup series was born in Canada!

That sounds fun but it doesn't sound like a fact, lol. Can you elaborate?

Porsche website says the first Porsche Cup (which I assume means the first one make series using 911s) was held in 1970, initiated by Ferry Porsche himself. Wiki says the current "Carrera Cup" started out in Germany in '86. Am I missing something?

No problem, I was just kinda baffled reading this so I had to look it up.

It's like reading that maple syrup was actually invented in Germany, if you catch my drift
