FUT advice for a German Bundesliga squad

I've been building a team of Germans but am getting a bit stuck. I prefer Bundesliga players but I do have Klose in the subs and generally he's very dependable so it's hard to want to get rid of him.

My left side and defense are lacking and I've found it difficult to find quality. Any suggestions? Metzelder might need to be sold because he's awfully slow and gets blown past rather often so I draw cards with him, but otherwise he does well.

I am bad at trading and my profit is -50,000, so I am poor and buy budget players. Reus was a good deal at 13.5k when I bought him. Trading advice would be appreciated too.

Edit: linked my squad

I will trade you a Neur. He is the best german and bundesliga keeper. is this on PS3 cuz i think we could get a deal done?

He does look pretty sharp. I have a 360 copy, though. Can you do trades on the web interface?

360, PS3 & PC markets are all separated.

Don't have trade tips but if you want a decent left back use Rafinia and play Lahm as RB if you can afford him.

Hummels and Goetze are good and not too much.

I'll look at Hummels, good idea. I have Gotze in my subs.

I just opened a pack and got Gomez, but his overall seems a lot higher than his stats would indicate. Most of Cacau's attributes are higher. Does OVR contribute to player quality on the pitch?

I'm not really sure. I used to think it was an average, but it doesn't always seem to be. Gomez is still good to have though, even if you aren't starting him.

You have to look at the in game stats. The stats on the card wont tell you much.

Also, NEVER buy packs.

I find if you are a skilled player and have a team with a 90+ chemistry you can pretty much demolish your opponents of lesser chemistry even if they have 85+ players on the squad. I just created an Npower Championship squad with a max player rating of 78 and an average rating of 74, and I beat a mixed squad with an average player rating of 82 and max of a Messi, and a chemistry of a 53. To me it's all in the bargain buys of less than 1.5K. Look for solid low 80's who will give you good chemistry with other Bundesliga players and you will do fine. Pending you have a decent skill set. I hope this helps you build a better squad.

Thanks for the tips. I have really good chemistry and that really helps online, but doesn't seem to matter much against CPU.

Here is my team. I forgot to post it.

Looks like you have yourself a pretty solid squad. Yeah CPU matches are more or less an algorithm with the AI. But online a 100% chemistry rating is very clutch to have when play. All in all you have a solid team and keep looking for bargains to build off of. Have fun

Marin? Werder Bermin LM (i think hes Werder Bermin been so long since ive payed attention to the bundesliga). He was amazing when i had him.

Two good, cheap and not slow centre backs are Hummels and Howedes, they are who i use. As for your claims that Reus for 13k was a good deal, i really disagree, i just picked up a normal Reus for 400 coints, an in form card is not that much better, farfan can do the same job cheaper. For full backs, Kadlec and Pizsczek are both cheap and exceptional value. Other players to get are Gotze, Renato Augusto, Kroos, Gomez and Rolfes

Hmm, you could be right - IF Reus was going for around 30k in October, so I was happy for that, but I wasn't really looking at the stats then.

I have Gotze and Gomez, wasn't sure about Kroos but will check out. Thanks for the tips!
