Is there a way to put musketeers in melee and defend mode at the same time?

I want to put musketeers in defend and melee mode simultaneously sometimes, to protect falconets from cavalry. If I put them just in defend mode, they don't hold horses from advancement towards artilery, they just keep shooting at them. If I put them in melee mode, they tend to wander off away from my cannons. That is why I usually just use pikemans (or halberdiers, if available) for that purpose - in defend mode, they keep their position around cannons and automatically stop and melee down any approaching cavalry.

No, there is no way.

Use stand ground. They will not move, attack enemies with their muskets and when the enemy gets close, with meelee. So if you place them well, they can shoot at the calvary thats coming and then engage in meelee.

Also, when the calvary is already engaged, use attack move with the musks (space in my keyboard), so they surround the enemy calvary

Pike/halb/carabiner/huss is my go to, depending on civ. Musketeers are kind wasted in defensive roles.
