Kakšne so vaše izkušnje?

As u/Sivy17's post previously suggested, apparently developers overlooked Native lore card when they designed European "natives". So, in order to quickly fix it, developers put no thought at redesign, they simply changed the effect of the card to "reduce cost of native techs by 20%" and called it a day. What used to be a 50% cost reduction for most of the native techs, which cost equal amount of wood/food and coin, is now only 20% reduction, rendering this card useless now.

Your thoughts?

This tech gives grenadiers 6 more siege damage and increases the radius of their splash damage by 0.5. This is ridiculously tiny gain for a technology worth 400 wood and 300 gold.

Since DE release they nerfed this tech to oblivion: First they reduced the improvment of siege attack from +30% to +15%. They also reduced grenadier base siege attack, so those +15% are applied to lower base value, making them more like a +12% or so. And second, they silently reduced radius gained from +1 to +0.5 (go figure it out if you didn't already; the in-game description still falsely says +1 though). Yet, the price of the tech stayed the same.

They should either reduce the cost of the tech or the gain of t

I want to put musketeers in defend and melee mode simultaneously sometimes, to protect falconets from cavalry. If I put them just in defend mode, they don't hold horses from advancement towards artilery, they just keep shooting at them. If I put them in melee mode, they tend to wander off away from my cannons. That is why I usually just use pikemans (or halberdiers, if available) for that purpose - in defend mode, they keep their position around cannons and automatically stop and melee down any approaching cavalry.

I never played these two competitively, so I would like some advice from those who have experiences with them.

(1) These two civs have no pikeman or other equivalent unit that is relatively fast (speed 5 or above) and cost-effective counter to cavalry in the Commerce age, so natural question is - What unit do you use to counter cavalry in second age? If they swarm you with cavalry, are Jannisaries with only x2 bonus against cav or weaker Musketeers able to repel it? Or do you simply use Cossacks or Hussars?

(2) How good are Cavalry archers compared to Dragoons? I know it is much harder to kite with them, so ... do you simply put them in a battlefield and leave them to do their job or do th

Nerfs to grenadiers in DE that I spotted so far:

  • reduced ranged resistance from 50% to 40%
  • increased rate of fire for siege attack from 3s to 4s
  • decreased attack multiplier against cavalry from 0.5x to 0.3x
  • decreased siege attack gain from Incendiary Grenades technology from +30% to +15%
  • Socket Bayonet no longer improves grenadier melee attack
  • Engineering School HC card no longer decreases training time of grenadiers
  • something else I didn't spot?

Why so much nerf for a unit that was already shit for its price even before the Definitive edition? If anything it should get buffed, not nerfed. And an explosion of a grenade under the feet of infantry soldier deals only 16 damage,
