Armor not hit

Guess I should have aimed
I mean yes... you werent even fully aimed, and the guy wasnt even looking at you.
Yea there was a tank behind me about to be able to take a shot so I rush the first shot, 2nd shot is more or less completely aimed and I still get outplayed by an afk tank.
why didn’t you shoot the turrent idgi
You know how it is, aim center of mass and the shell goes low. Aim higher to compensate and the shell flies over the turret. RNG is the gift that keeps giving.
Yep, you rushed two shots and RNG said no. Too bad. Should have let the gun aim in more (or completely) if you wanted to ensure the kill.
Heck you had enough time to shoot twice so you surely could have just let the gun aim in more on the first shot instead.
I guess Valve's response to getting CS:GO'd should have taught me people will defend anything
Dude, I feel you. Last night I fired 3 shells at a T-50-2 from my KV-2(R). Hit him each time, and each shot was an ‘armor not penetrated’, and I got 1 crit (tracked).
That from a shell that’s damn near as big as the tank is wide.
Feels bad man.
I can't tell if the new notifications are a good or a bad thing. Normally I'd just assume that I somehow bounced off of some strange corner of the enemy and go on oblivious. But now I shoot the ass of T95 and Screen not penetrated. Front of the enemy heavy tank, shoot him in the hull? Armor not hit
What?
You shot the side screens on the t95 you can see them from the back. And from the front the is plenty of things that arent in the armor model like screens optics guns and shit. Game tells you what you hit.
Screen not penetrated is my new favorite Wging bs. I mean, on a S Conq ok but on tanks where I'm shooting the bare side of their turret with not so much as a cosmetic cable or gas can........
Server is lagy last few weeks tbh like 4 weeks or even more God knows what u hit, there r few bugs on textures maybe u were hiting some rock in front of u it happens to me when I am in this hull down positions like u, compare stats beatwen u and oponent u were shooting sometimes RNG is favoring players with worst stats then u, latest eaxmple from my side is like I was in E100 big gun 50m from T30 standing still I missed him like mile
Soviet Bias. Working as intended.
Communism powered Forcefield prevented shell from harming glorious tank of the Union.
/s
I dunno. Alot of hits recently don't go through, even fully aimed. "Screen not penetrated" is the worst though. When a tank doesn't even HAVE screens on it, and is hit with a standard AP shell.
Tracks, cannon barrels, gun manlets and optics are screens. And if there is no armor behind them, you'll get "screen not penetrated"
Isn’t that exactly what „armour not hit” is for?
And if there is no armor behind them, you'll get "screen not penetrated"
That's actually "Armor not hit". "Screen not penetrated" is for when tracks/gun/mantlet/spaced armor completely eats your shot and it never touches the actual armor behind the screen, e.g. shooting HEAT at tracks.
Screen is any spaced armour and every tank has mantlet.
Bruh, I was livid the other day in my 121 shooting a manticore and “Armor not Hit” 4 times
Probably it was me lol, i got 2 shots to my manticore's gun from some 121 :)
On ghost town?
I really dont remember the map, playing only Manticore this week (EU server), what a great tank:)
Nah def not me then, I’m on NA server, and it does seem like an interesting tank
Dear lord here goes my blood pressure
Yeah ive been finding a lot of tanks that apparently just dont have side armor when playing my grille, its pretty cool. Id honestly prefer just saying critical hit rather than this bullshit
"Armor not hit" is BULLSHIT Wargaming. Just what am I hitting with my 155mm 300 pen shells? What on the side of a tank is not armor?
Part of tracks (where there is no hull behind them) for example.
The tracks under the hull.
Negative. Tracks aren't even visible, (shooting turret and hull sides) and 1 inch thick tracks would not stop a shell like that in any scenario anyway.
I guarantee you hit the tracks UNDER the hull.
How can you hit something that's not in the line of fire?
If you really care, you can use a post battle hits mod. They'll even let you watch a replay, and then go back and see where each shot flew.
The mods are client side, so they're not 100% accurate, but in my experience they're almost always within a foot.
We did naht penetrate their armor we did naht
There are plenty of reasons for this to happen, to mimizie it try actually fully aiming next time
Are you possibly firing HEAT into the tracks(spaced armor)?
Nope, this is a clip in the 13 90, only has APCR and HE. I'm pretty sure both shots went low into the bottom of the suspension. Possible lag spike or otherwise WG fuckery on the 2nd shot trying to hit dirt as hard as possible.

Alright that sucks.
Ok so you have not pen, which means the shell got stuck in the armour, then ricochet which means it bounced off, but then what does armour not hit mean?
what does armour not hit mean
Exactly what it says: Armor not hit. You didnt hit the armor.
Basically when I miss?
I mean usually when I shoot and miss, it doesn't show anything
If you missed... you missed.
Armor not hit mean you didnt hit the armor of the tank you were firing at. For instance when you shoot at the side of the tank but only hit the tracks under the hull.
Thx
^ this is a very typical response from avalon, the guy has always been a git. If it hit 'shielding' it would say you hit that, so the only other thing I can assume is that he hit the tracks but somehow managed to not do any damage.... Wging garbage as per usual.
hit the tracks but somehow managed to not do any damage.
Yes that can frequently happen if you hit the lower portion of the tracks where there is no hull behind it. Hence you did not hit the armor... or "Armor not hit". Its really quite simple unless youre incapable of understanding what words mean.
Please don't attack user because you had a previous interaction you didn't like. If you don't like someone then block him and don't start a flame war.
imagine i had this scenario with a tier IX TD
I played one game since the last update and it was in my Luchs. I went to the back of a Churchill and unloaded my clip. Right in the back. Not a single one penetrated. Is this some kind of a joke or just some strange bad luck, because before the patch that would have significant damage. The Churchill player was so hillariously bad, he didn't even recognize me. It feels really, really great if you cannot harm a braindead player.
Depends on which Churchill it was, the ammo you were shooting, the gun you were using and where you were aiming... the upper portions of the rear of the Churchill 1 and 3 are like 100mm thick.
Standard AP with the 3mm, close range penetrates tier 6 in the back 99% of the time. Before the patch.
What tank were you using? Cause I'm grinding the t69 and this feels like something that that tank could do, even against tier 8
It was the 13 90. In the clip I'm also experimenting with a equipment setup that drops vstab for low noise exhaust so I'm pushing my luck even further. In the end it was a good match though and I hit many harder shots, just WoT reminding me even on a hot streak sometimes you roll critical failure.
For me that happens a lot more than before.
ltwt is notorious for it's lack of any hull. It's basically so thin, that you were hitting tracks that doesn't have any armor behind them.
I had this twice in a row vs the lower plate of a frickin ae phase 1 while I was in my ae phase 1.
Couldn't tell you how many times my TD's bounce harmlessly off hulls with either this or "screen not penetrated". Yes, I'm sure that the screen was thicker than the turret armor of the Bisonte, thanks.
The first shot miss because the red line is not activated, the second one is a ghost shot happens all the time
What were you expecting? Its russian.
Exactly. OP must be new..
