Did the 7/15 update completely destroy the game for anyone else?

Question

Until yesterday, I considered the game "fixed" and was 100% happy. I have 2 friends that I play with and we had zero issues - life was good. Since the update yesterday, neither of my friends has been able to launch the game (PC). It shows that damn bird intro and then crashes for them. They tried 14 times and crashed every time. I crashed once and then it ran (only tried twice since my friends couldn't join and play), although the game seems different. I used to gold solo CT15 with ease and now I'm dying on CT14 (Pyro's Blacksmith mod problems maybe?).

So everything was roses until yesterday - now we can't even play. Anyone else having this problem?

I had the same problem, then I forced it to use DX11 rather than DX12, no issues since then.

- In Steam : Outriders -> Manage -> Properties -> Launch option->

Write the below in the textbox without the " ""-force -dx11"

Have your friends tried starting the game from within Steam and selecting the dx11 version? This patch broke the dx12 version for me but the dx11 version works fine.

Thanks for the tip. I'm pretty sure they were only trying DX12. We'll give it a try tonight.

I had the same issue, but I re-enabled the movie file that plays on launch and I was able to launch it.

We never disabled the movie.
