How do you reward yourself for accomplishing your goals?

Do you eat cake? Buy the thing? How do you celebrate completing whatever goal you had?

If I have enough money, I'll buy myself something I've been wanting for a while. Or I'll treat myself to a mani/pedi or massage. Other times I'll treat myself to a favorite restaurant or coffee.

Depends on the goal.

I'm recovering from blood clots that almost killed me, and when I'm able to walk 5km in one hour without wanting to die I'm buying a Lego dinosaur fossil set to mix in in my plant shelf.

Glad you’re still here. ā™” hope you hit your goal soon!

Thanks! It will take a while, but I'll get there.

I wanted to share a ridiculous and lightheaded reward! There were lots of serious ones or actual advice, and dammit, sometimes things should be silly and fun. And having fossil Lego dinosaurs in my plants is silly and fun!

One day at a time! Rooting you on from afar.

Yes, silly is great!! I think that is a super fun idea. They will look great amongst your plants!

Buy something I normally wouldn't. But I also like to set rewards before I try to accomplish something to have an extra motivation. Like if you accomplish ... you can get a tattoo or piercing. Or that expensive shirt you wanted etc

If it’s a big goal, I usually reward myself with some sort of experience that I normally wouldn’t buy myself: dinner at a fancy restaurant, a spa day, or tea service at a fancy place.

For smaller goals (that are usually stepping stones to a bigger goal) it’s a small reward: going out for ice cream, buying a new lip gloss, buying buying something small but fun.

For example: when I reached my first milestone in Pilates (30 classes) I bought a cute new pair of grip socks that were more expensive than I would normally buy. When I hit my big goal of 250 classes I treated myself to an entire spa day experience.

Pad Thai with EXTRA SHRIMP, hand pulled noodles with extra beef ($30, super overpriced in my opinion but I’m not downtown Toronto often so it’s a rare treat), cute crop tops, a facial, pedicure…oh! Brownies from a bakery! The ones with a lot of nuts on top!

I collect funny and geeky t-shirts.

I buy the expensive more rare ones (even more expensive because I live in France and they're usually from the U.S. so shipping is expensive) when I want to reward myself.

I treat myself to a book or buying a small pretty thing for my desk

Treat myself to something for reaching my goal, which all depends on what the goal is.

I tell the people who love me. Their excitement for me is the biggest reward honestly.

There’s definitely cake involved. I bought a cake yesterday for successfully going through my first of work at a new job.

I also like to write down what my accomplishments and realizations have been in a journal.

I tell my partner and we share a bunch of congratulatory GIFs and then they usually make me cupcakes.

Accomplishing the goals is a reward in itself!

Depends on the goal, if it’s like a really big goal I will reward by buying something I normally wouldn’t buy but that I have been wanting or booking a vacation.

Anything else would go to a restaurant I have been eyeing, booking a spa day, or something I haven’t done in a while.
