What's up with the movie playing on my screen mid-match?
I was mid-match just now and the bottom left hand corner was overtaken by a short film, with the sound drowning out all of the game sounds.
Got absolutely minced by someone who was able to run up behind me because I couldn't hear their footsteps over the sound of the film.
I'm sure Epic would like as many people as possible to see the short films that folks have worked hard to produce, but taking up a huge chunk of the screen and drowning out the sound is kind of a dick move...
edit Figured out how to turn it off... there's an option in the main in-game menu to turn off the feed from the Party Royale event. I'll leave the question here in case anyone else has the same issue.

There’s an option to turn it off. I swear how many people run to reddit before checking the menu.
I'm old, and learning how to play the game so my kids and I can play together...
Half the time I don't know what a lot of the options in the menu even do.
But yeah - I figured out how to turn it off with the option to turn off the Party Royale stream in the main menu.
I'll leave the question here in case anyone else has the same issue because we're too dumb to figure out what the menu options mean.
Sure, and I can understand some stuff, but to me it seems like fairly common sense to first Atleast check the pause menus before asking reddit. It just seems odd that so many don’t Atleast try and find a way to remedy it before coming on to complain about it.
Although there was an option to turn it off, the option only appeared after I was already in game and literally mid gunfight with someone. It was annoying and a reasonable thing to complain about, relax.
I know, people always spam Reddit with questions without actually trying to find the answer themselves first, it gets annoying a after a while
