Ash Forest DR or EVA?

Question

My question is addressed to those who can grind ash forest effectively:

I play sorc awakening, 90% of the time pve and planing to optimize my gear to grind ash forest for some deboreka to tet it for myself (i know, i must be bit masochistic, but this is a other topic xD ).

I was thinking about getting more defensive stats. Are evasion or dr builds better there?

At the moment i have a "dr / eva build" (griffon, dead god, bhegs) but with muskans (V, C9), and thinking about exchange them to urugons (V, C9) for more dr. What´s the best way to go there?

Or in numbers:

316DR / 599EVA or 345DR / 554EVA? (unbuffed, numbers from bdoplaner)

Depending on ur class, assuming ur mainly dr alrdy just stick to dr itll be a bit more sweaty but the most important thing would be crystal optimization and elixirs going dr makes ur crystals more flexible so this will help a lot.

Crystals: Helmet: 2x hoom, Boots: 2x adamantine, Armour: 2x hooms/special evasion, gloves: jin vipers, mainhand: elkars/precision, offhand: corrupted/rebellious, Dandelion: 2x hooms/monster damage ones 2x.

Elixirs: (part recommended for all)

Elixir of Fury +8ap

Elixir of strong draining (important) +5hp per crit

Elixir of grim soul (important) +3hp per hit

Elixir of griffon +17ap to kama

Elixir of concentration (optional) +12 accuracy

Elixir of Sharp detection +15% crit dmg

Elixir of lethal assassin +15% back dmg

Elixir of remarkable will (important) -10% damage from monsters

Elixir of life +150hp

Elixir of steel (optional) +10 dr

Elixir of helix (optional) +12 evasion

Kalk perfume for more dr and resistance.

EVA. No contest. I tried with dr and got killed/sweaty. With Eva it was afk-tier. Elixirs of course, lahn

May i ask you what´s your dr / eva stats? (Ideally the stats from bdoplaner, makes it easier)

EVA:full pen c9(muskans, leebur) with kutum c14 and harpias jin in helmet.

DR: full pen c9 (urugons/bhegs) kutum c14, harpias in helmet, dark crystals in armor. double tet narcs

i dont know the dr/eva stats, but im at 377 dp. dunno about bdoplanner, dont know how to put journals on

as succ warrior it was easy with a full dr build. But yeah, elixir rota is key and 100% knockdown resist

At Ash Forest, Evasion is much more effective than DR, ignoring class.

Since Sorceress uses Evasion just fine, if you already have access to both, then go with an evasion set.

My recommendation is to go in with Muskan's, upkeep Sorc's evasion buff, run +evasion add-on and -accuracy add-on, and run evasion crystals. If you're planning on going in with an elixir rotation, be sure to run Helix for more evasion.

If that's still scary, then you'll have to switch to Leebur's for more evasion, or abandon evasion entirely and go full DR.

I know its not as usefull as it should be, this is why i´m asking for optimatation / adjustments ;-) I know that i have to change my crystals for ash.

Oh ok, havent thought that evasion would be this usefull in pve, as you mentioned. I´m currently grinding orcs / bm for the accessory upgrades, so this wasn´t a big thing until now for me (and also thought dr would be better for pve, what can be wrong for "endgame" too).

My build is a bit of a "self made thing", especially the crystals xD

In my current situation i can choose to either go for urus or leeburs. This is why i´m asking what way will be better.

In case of the helmet i think the griffon is better than the heve, because the lost in dr is too high. Whats your opinion in this?

i have an eva wich in my guild who says the elixier rotation was key. i would look into that as surviving seems more important as the mobs die fast too.

not much. like 1050 with new system? runs bhegs for the accuracy lol. but it seem to work if he gets 3500 trash? i can ask in 7h if you wish.

i am an awa sorc too. not that geared as i finsh up my pot grind, but if i get my gear pen and caphras i think deboreka is a goal too. if you get that thing pen... you could change all other accessories to accuracy one by one and still have 305 ap (with a 2 more family ap). that my goal. not in reach by any means but one can dream.

it depends what buffs he uses to get 3500 trash, if its B-LS + agris thats actually awful if its just yellow lootscroll then i dont know what numbers you should pull

Your goal is nice! but getting debo to tet is quite a task. getting it to pen is comparable to getting 2 lottery wins in a row xD so yeah, one can dream :-P

I personally use Strong Draining, Lethal Assassin, Sharp Detection, Remarkable Will, Endless Fury, Grim Soul Reaper's, Steel Defense, Strong Griffon's and Strong Shock.

Thanks! Nice to keep in mind. I never bothered to use elixirs, but the crit one looks really nice. Not in game atm, but I guess I will have to craft my ones since probably these are all sold :)))

i know a spreadsheet for the accuracy for pve. but normaly you need a dr build for the spots. after a research i found out that some people also use eva in a small amount for ash forest, so i´ve been a bit confused. but this counts only for ash forest i think.

No need. Evasion is better for all high end grind spots.

I grind ash on succ Lahn fairly easily with evasion build, 289/372 (duo god, C6 leeburs, C15 heve and C9 muskans). Definitely depends on class of course, but I think both are viable there. The best way to increase survivability there from what I’ve found is to run a solid elixir rotation and just avoid hits altogether with your movements. 100% KD res is a MUST, I died way less after achieving that with crystals/khalk elixir and after 3-4 hours of learning the spot, stopped dying completely.

Comparing your two routes, the difference in evasion is almost negligible between 554 and 599. But the difference in DR is considerable between 316 and 345. I would suggest sticking with what you have and trying it out first since your muskans are C9. In the end, you’ll want to pick either DR or evasion and hard commit to it, so since you’re closer to a DR build I’d suggest going that route in the long run.

I cant remcomend going succ sorc for ash forest enough, violation using stamina to both dps and iframe hits its simply way too bad and you might, if ur damage is not enough, run out of stamina when you don't want to (same reason why i dont like awak sorc on oluns. Succ sorc doesnt have stamina issues as you can always iframe as long as you hit something and get some shards, wich makes the place quite more safe.

If you are a chad player and don't use adamantines that is, otherwise just pop a frenzy and spin carefree, as long as you don't stand still you shouldn't take much dmg.
