What are some the comments which have been done to death on this sub. Some of them used to be funny and/or interesting initially but have been mentioned so many times here that they have become really blank.

The thing thay annoys me about this is what have United actually done to "unlock" Pogba?
He's only played his preferred role in one season since he's been here. It's not a coincidence that that was his best season.
And the most defensive midfielder that Pogba has played with is Matic.

Holy fuck, how about just one good defensive midfielder that's not on the decline.
United play him outside of his preferred role yet won't buy anyone to help alleviate any of the problems that creates. How are people actually acting like United bent over backwards to accommodate Pogba when he's never played in anything resembling a cohesive midfield. All he's ever had at United are an assortment of decent players that don't fit together as any sort of coherent unit.
Will get downvoted to death but one of the main reasons we have sucked in the last decade is our tendency to buy world class players and try to shoehorn them into roles that don’t suit them. Did it to Di Maria. Did it to Pogba. Did it to Sanchez to a lesser extent. We just can’t help ourselves, by the looks of it. Pogba’s still been our best midfield player since coming back (on average), with the exception of Bruno - and frankly with Bruno, we’ll see how he copes with an extended bad patch which was starting to show towards the end of last season.
Thank you people love to ignore all of this because they expect Pogba to be superman

Lindelof at DM
Literally in every daily discussion thread there are a couple comments mentioning this and get downvoted to hell.
I know it was a generation ago but people also said this about Ronny Johnson and he did a sterling job at DM under SAF
Johnsen was much better than Lindelof is now though
We for sure will miss Lindelof’s passing tho. We saw many times how his outlet passes can be effective, especially when Rashford is the one receiving it
That doesn’t mean he can play DM at the highest level of football though does it
Does my head in when people say he would be good as a DM just because he can defend and has a good pass. Like that's literally the only two attributes a DM needs.
A lot of people are too young to remember when SAF tried playing Rio at DM, it didn't last long.
Exactly, the time and space is different even though it's a couple of yards, some long passes are easier to hit from further back too. I'm not sure dribbling and close control translate to midfield either, he could be much easier to press. His passing is good for a defender, it just doesn't look like it'll carry over in the same way.
I'm one of the people who thinks he's actually capable of it but I see a lot of comments just assuming he could step in there and do bits. I'd have liked to see it in tried out in preseason though but circumstances obviously didn't allow it.

I’ve seen some suggest Luke Shaw / Lindelof as DMs. Truly boggles the mind.
Lindleof has played DM at benfica and in his youth career.
He’s so good on one on one, but It’d be a disaster for real, he’s a sliding tackler. in 2021, where every touch in the box is a penalty, a CB that needs to get to the ground to retrieve the ball is the last thing you’d want, plus his positional awareness sucks.

Surprised no one has mentioned the Phil Jones jokes. Kinda pisses me off not gonna lie, guy has been a servant to the club, dealt with fitness/injury issues and got to the point that he turned down a testimonial because he didn’t think anyone would go. He’s had his blunders but he served the club when we needed him and he played for the badge every time he stepped on the field. Bugs me when people make jokes about affording players and trivially saying “we’ll throw in Phil Jones” or some variation of that joke.

I guess you could make a distinction between a central defensive midfielder in a 4-3-3 (the typical Busquets role) and defensive midfielders in a 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2. They would be left and right DMs, on paper at least.
