Ive always been able to setup a local script on Exchange on Prem boxes to run a powershell and email a welcome/info email to new users. Is there an easy way to do this in 365 using Automate or another process?

I wanted to achieve something similar, but couldn't think of an approach to await for the mailbox to have been created and in an operational state.
Is there some other process you can add this to? We have a form that records new hire info and sends welcome email to their personal email with tracking info for their computer and also their company email the day after they start Using PowerAutomate.
You could use Azure Functions or Logic Apps, too. Our onboarding process was built using those tools and did something similar to what you're looking for.
