I finally realized last year that expressing my frustrations about my game to my wife was only hurting my availability to golf. Just keep smiling and get back out there.

I can. Did it yesterday.
It was an 80 yard shot but due to the flexibility in my game I bladed it way over the green, the hill behind the green, and 20 additional yards for good measure.
If you’re not hitting your sand wedge 180, you just need 30 years of practice like me to master every facet of the game.

Me too, actually. About to head out for an early round here shortly. A few putts beforehand always helps me quite a bit though

I really need to work on my putting, shot 97 yesterday, struck the ball pretty decently, putted 42 times. If I could average 2 putts or less I'd already have broken 90. Down hill putts are my worse enemy, I either blast it past the hole then two putt from the bottom or I tap it expecting it to gain speed down the hill and it goes 6 inches, then I blast it down the hill and two putt back up.

I feel ya. I shot a 100 yesterday. Hit 8 GIR. Putted 47x with an average of 2.6 putts per hole. Like, if I can bring my putts down to average of 2/hole I'm breaking 90. Oof.

I'm still very new to golf but I've learned to leave balls in the bucket after my warm ups. Generally if it takes me a whole bucket to feel comfortable, I'm going to have a bad time.
But a few good hits to get the juices flowing, and I'll leave a half full bucket now and just try to end my warmup on a high note.

Me too a while bucked is way to much. I hit a few half wedges then a few shot with like a 9,7, and 5. A few fairway woods Nd driver and good to go. Maybe 15 balls total.

Sigh, i played in a comp on Saturday. Practiced my wedges before hand on grass. Must have hit 30 wedge shots great. Bladed most of my wedge shots, nr in the end after a blade and out of the comp.
Next week though, next week sigh should have took up squash.
