General things to be aware of are;

  • The stages run one after the other and future stages have not been announced (but should not require buying any software - also it's likely at least one stage will be memory clock, and I've been told that a low core count CPU won't be a disadvantage).

  • There's a requirement to use the same CPU and motherboard for all stages. This is a bit annoying as you have to lock yourself in before knowing what future stages are.

  • Being corsair-sponsored, it's for corsair memory only.

There's a time-limited full version of AIDA64 for the first stage of the competition available from this forum post.

IMO anyone with corsair DDR4 should compete - even if you don't expect to win, the lucky draw prizes are pretty good. It is an ambient only competition though, so a well-tuned corsair-based system might be very competitive even if you're not a competitive overclocker.
