We don't know if our sweet birb is male or female. My lady has worked with a lot of birds and said ours has exhibited some female behaviors... But it's a mystery. I look at our Duckie as female usually, but when I look at her as male it seems equally likely. I'm sure Schrodinger would have something to say about this...
Could also be an hermaphrodite
Nah Schrodinger wouldn’t care about your birds gender at all, he was more concerned with quantum mechanics
Then why the cat?
To explain the idea of superposition in terms the average person would understand
Right. Specifically the end of quantum superposition, when it resolves into reality.
I present that a bird's gender being ambiguous and resolving at one point or another is a bit less convoluted than a cat in a box with a chain reaction machine of poison, radioactivity, a Geiger counter, and a hammer.
So Schrodinger may not have cared directly. But if you missed the connection in my statement, here it is spelled out plainly for you
The funny thing is Schrödinger wasn’t explaining quantum mechanics, his intention was to ridicule it as a dumb idea, but his comparision was so spot on that it was co-opted by the proponents of quantum physics.
Nah he just hated cats
Because he wanted to highlight the absurdity of some of the theory used in quantum physics. Through his thought experiment, the ambivalence of quantum particles would be transformed into the "macro" world, which would prove that there is a logical disconnect between our world and that of the quantum world.

This is my official method of sexing birds! They’re boys until they lay an egg!
When I was a kid I had Henry, who became Henrietta, and now I have Frankie, who is still Frankie because that works for a girl. And Cody, who is still currently a boy.
Haha it’s the opposite with chicken owners, everyone’s a hen until they crow. Weirdly some hens crow too, I have one noisy little egg layer who loves acting like a cock.
Is she a bit off a dick
I know this YouTuber, DankPods, he got a snake and named him Frank. Only to discover that it wasn't a he, it was a she. He kept the name because he still loved the idea of a snake named Frank
Ah yes, the channel that's mostly about smelling nuggets.
Terrible smelly Buds!!!
DankPods fucking rules
"OHH THEY'RE GETTIN' WARM, MATE!!!"
Can't wait to smell these dirty buds
Scarlet Fire

it can be bobbie for barbara
Bobra
There's a character in The Expanse called Roberta ("Bobbie") Draper.
This is exactly what happened with me and my lovebird
Same here! We had a peach faced lovebird growing up and we named him Kiwi. For at least two years we thought he was a boy until we noticed that Kiwi hadn’t been outside of his nest box for a couple days. Peeked inside and saw “him” with a clutch of eggs underneath! Seeing as how Kiwi is a pretty unisex name for a bird and she knew how to call out her own name already, we kept her as such.
And again same. I named him August, but she turned out to like the same name still.
Now it's a borb.
Kinder surprise egg
Black Adder did it first
An excellent live-in chum
Just put a Mr. or Miss in front of their name once you have a confirmation!
My Sylvia still hasn't layed any egg. So we're guessing she might be Sylv.
Sylvio.
Mood.
TFW my obviously male tiel laid an egg.
Bob the Dragking 👜👜👜
Happened to me and "Harvey" :D
Call her lapis then
We were ASSURED ours was a boy. Sport became Ms. Sport!
Do birds not have genitalia?
Some birds do, but parrots don't. They breed by rubbing cloacas together.
I've got a Savanah Monitor named Georgie. We say he now, but starting to think she. Started as George because I used to have Fred. But he/she is so tiny and cute now, they became Georgie. Name will stick no matter gender. Most of my birds were generic. Pickles, Tweety, Frosty, Psycho, Duffer, Mac, Cheese, Periwinkle.
Happened to us too. We thought it was a girl, so we named it Coral. It was not a girl.
We kept the name coral, but as time went on and we had to keep telling him to stop chewing on cords, "CORAL!" evolved into "CARRRRRLLLL!"
Have a yellow named Amazon we named Ava… Ava turned out to be male after a DNA test lol
I wanted two male budgies originally, because of the cliche that they get along better than two females - and because I didn’t want to worry about budgie babies and eggs … then one cere turned brown … then the other turned brown ….
I am now a proud gay Dad of a lesbian budgie couple 🏳️🌈

My wife's crying rn
Wait until she hears about swans
When I got my current budgie 11 years ago I wanted a male because I wanted a talker, and everybody says female budgies don't talk. The budgie I picked ended up being a chatterbox with a deep brown cere.
