ZkMushroom recently released a sidearm video on YouTube, accompanied with FL, and slays out easily. This proves Fighting Lion is still useful, and this sub is overreacting.

The nerf is fine (although a little steep)- it seems perhaps people just do not want to work as hard for their FL kills or people here are not pvp mains.

Eyes have seen and ears have heard, indisputably, that it can still be useful. What say you now?

I’m not going to recommend that anyone use a person with a 2.51 trials K/D, 1258 flawless runs, and an 85% Trials winrate as a community standard for how well a weapon performs.

Agree.

And it's in Iron Banner, which has connection based match making. He'd could used anything there done the same or better.

It performed fine. All you have to do is pull the trigger.

I say appealing to a guy who rarely misses doesn’t demonstrate how this gun functions for the majority of the community

Edit: I believe he’s also been complimented by wishyouluck as having one of the best neural games out there

ZkMushroom also made a video on Cryosthesia and completely shit on the enemy team. Does that make Cryosthesia good too?

Hey, no need to grovel to me if you are weaker than your enemies.

Fighting Lion is fine.

That didn’t answer my question.

Count_GatorOP•

Yeah it did.

Fighting lion is a cleanup/engagement starter tool. There is no need to manually reload it all the time for it to be effective.

That’s not what I asked you baffoon. I asked is Cryosthesia good because Zk got a 3kd with it? Learn how to read.

That's not why people are frustrated about it though, I still use it in pvp as a primer as it's supposed to be used and that's still just as effective as it was basically. The frustration is that things like Bow, snipe, and shotgun lion have been nerfed to shit if you aren't a warlock with ophidians or hunter with dragons shadow.

It being a primary was nerfed, it being a secondary was not, those were all fairly ineffective but very very fun playstyles and they broke the monotony of the crucible for me personally.

Fighting lion chimera + ib sidearm is so much fun

Not a PvP main, yes. I'd rather shoot just the FL in PvE than shoot and switch every time.

OK, OP is being kind if a dick about it but I see his point. If ZK can dominate with FL, then with practice any average player will be able to use FL effectively. Will it hand you free kills? No. But you can use it well in PvP if you practice and adjust to the nerfs.

Top players can make anything work, that doesn't mean the weapons are actually good.

Source: am top 1% and can shit on people with Cryosthesia. It still absolutley sucks as a weapon but I just have enough game skill and sense to make it work against players that are worse than me.

Well, he was not using Fighting Lion as his kill weapon (it is a sidearm video), but as a weapon that sets up kills.

You know, how the exotic is supposed to work.

Nice try, though!

There's no singular way it's "supposed to work" and it's a brainlet take to suggest there is. Bungie regularly makes mention of how fusions should be counterplay weapons but I'm extremely aggressive with them, am I using the guns wrong or is there simply more than one way to play the game?

Well, this is an exotic perk we are talking about. Fighting Lions auto-reload perk, specifically after you get a kill.

Are you suggesting play-style should alter an exotic perk?

Big yikes if so. 😬

No, I'm saying the perk alone shouldn't determine your playstyle unless it's outrageously overpowered. Which Fighting Lion's isn't. It has a very singular niche and there are alternative and very arguably better playstyles with the gun than simply trying to proc the auto reload.
