I’m a Molten Salt guy myself but if I have to choose I do like the BWRX-300.

I've only heard of BWRX-300, GE Hitachi's ASMR.

How many years is 'near future'?
What do you mean by 'king'?
Weird choice list as well, where are thousands of other designs?
If we take near future = 5 years, king = most units built then from this list HTR-PM would clearly be a winner... with 1 unit.

In the near future? Neither. In 20 years though, I think the BWRX 300 might have a chance at becoming semi-popular.

how are we defining king here? The one the takes the most taxpayer money?
They will all be kings, living as hogs off the backs of the peasants and providing little to nothing in return.

BREST-OD-300 is not a SMR
wait what
It is a one time demo to gain experience and work out details before moving to BR(EST)-1200.
Is BREST-1200 modular
There is no technical project for it yet. But it will likely be as modular as current big PWRs are.
