Mybetriq helped for 2 weeks…

Okay so I started myrbetriq around 3 weeks ago, when my urologist decided I had OAB and not the previously thought IC.

After 4 it 5 days on Mybetriq I was feeling amazing. My urgency issues were gone and I was using the bathroom on a normal persons schedule.

Fast forward to last night. I started - out of no where - having some urgency/frequency again. I’m still having some issues today, along with just starting some weird cramping feeling around the bladder area.

Should I be concerned? Does OAB have flares that come and go?

**Im probably stressing about this more than I should, but I had a good couple of weeks snd I was overjoyed that I might have my life back!!

In my opinion, find out if particular food does this flare to you. I do get flare when I consume dairy. Processed cheese is ok but any other dairy doesn’t suit me.

Thank you! I wasn’t sure if OAB, had flares. Now I know. I guess I’m back to keeping a food journal

Did you figure this out with a food journal, elimination diet, or even an app? I'm working through finding out where my flares are coming from, and I'm having a hard time finding a system that works with me.

Elimination diet. By focusing on general irritants and removing or adding them helped me to find out. Dairy, caffeine, sugar, soda etc are general irritants.

it comes and go for me. the intensity is less when i am on medication but i still flare. also i am quite sure the spectrum of OAB is alot wider than current definitions by doctors

Also on mybertiq and still flare. Especially if I am anxious or have had caffeine. Usually it’s worse at night.

Thank you! I wish my urologist had told OAB has flares. I was told I could come off the IC diet but be careful if caffeine still.

It’s definitely worse at night right now

That’s disappointing!! Not that I want to be on anything forever, but I was hoping for a long term solution
