The Coderra stuff is so annoying and it plays such a major role all the way until the finale. Imo it was never a funny running gag.

That's exactly what ruined her in All Stars, they focused too much on that instead of the fangirl side that could have known a lot by researching or something like their weaknesses to the point she should have been the first boot

Only season that surpasses it imo is Ridonculous Race. But that barely counts, it’s a whole different format. As far as Total Drama goes, yeah, Island can’t be beat!

Island was the best seasons with the best ships and friendship groups. Wt had the horrible love triangle, f*ral zeke, dj animal curse. etc

World Tour is my personal favorite because of the musical numbers. But I also adore Island for everything that it is. I think in most cases World Tour and Island are fighting for the top. They’re often neck and neck in the polls asking what’s the best season.

That is what opinions are for.
Every season have it's highs and lows, how much they work for you is what decides your favorites. And I like this kind of opinions as it spice it, somedays I will ask why keep you from adoring it ^_-

I've had posts that got more upvotes than downvotes that said
- Lindsay was her worst as a character in Action
- Beth was a more deserving finalist for Action than Lindsay
- Gwen and Courtney were dumber about Mal than Zoey was
- Courtney wasn't OOC in Sundae Muddy Sundae
- That I like Gwuncan
- That Sugar was the third best character introduced in PI
Not to mention posts from others that were upvoted that said things like how they like Pahktiew or All-Stars, defending hated characters such as Dave, Amy, or Taylor, Gwourtney being a bad ship, multiple posts where people say or explain why they don't like World Tour, liking Trent more than Gwen as a character, saying how several elimiantions commonly called unfair are actually fair, and more.
You keep saying that the sub circlejerks popular opinions, but it doesn't look to be as true as you say it is.

I’m gonna be a filthy contrarian and say I agree; World Tour isn’t the best season: Revenge of the Island is. World Tour is my favorite, but Revenge of the Island is a much better constructed and more tightly-written season by far.
Island is nowhere near the best; it’s certainty more chill and nostalgic than World Tour but it has far more flaws.

World Tour is probably the worst of the traditional format seasons for me. Like, it gets almost as interesting as Action once Duncan re-enters...but that doesn't forgive that half the season just drags on as fluff with very little purpose to me (not counting the Aftermaths).

This season is so wierd for me. It simultaneously has some of the best things from the series AND the worst things from the series coexisting. On the one hand, you have Heather vs Alejandro, the world travel set up, the songs, Gwen and Courtney's unlikely friendship, Noah and Tyler getting more attention and a great finale. On the other hand, team Victory characters getting derailed and destroyed, Duncan being brought back for the god awful love triangle, Noah and Tyler get kicked of so Duncan can make the final five AGAIN despite them still having potential in the plot, Sierra hounding Cody and Cody being written to be obsessed with Gwen, the end of Duncney and Owzzy just to hurt my feelings, and Courtney being abused and treated like the villain despite being the most sympathetic member of the love triangle fiasco. It's such quality whiplash.

I'll have to agree. It's a fantastic season, but it's also riddled with some noticeable problems, and there are some other good seasons to choose from.

If the writes took the show seriously and wanted to make good characters and good development with everyone as they did with Heather and Alejandro and debatably cody and Sierra we could’ve had a much better season. It’s arguably my favorite but could be so much better and I’m not gonna die on the “it’s the best” hill, yknow? But at the end of the day it’s a parody of reality tv with a shocking amount of character development already for what start out as 1 dimensional characters. It’s tough to have such a deep care and investment for a show that was perhaps not designed to satisfy the amount of love it receives. Just my stream of consciousness that this post inspired in me

I personally think Island is the best. It’s just got a different vibe than the other seasons that I can’t explain. Less refined but still very well done I suppose? World Tour is great but it’s still second time Island for me.

the first half of world tour (+ the finale) is the best to me. but once duncan comes back for the love triangle, it gets sour. everything just drags on too much. i also never really liked sierra and the dynamic with cody at all and once the cast narrowed down, she got even more focus obsessing over him
heather - and to extent alejandro and their rivalry - is the biggest saving grace of the season. but sometimes i just can’t place it first because of the second half

I'm actually rewaching action an is better than I remembered it. The reward challenges is the only thing is still don't like. Is cool to have non eliminatory rounds but there are way to much. The reward in World tour and ridoncolous race where ok because you didn't know it was a reward challenge til the very end.

For me, Island is objectively better, but World Tour is nostalgic. Because I saw WT first, it's what got me into TD to begin with. Then I saw Island, Action, then Revenge of the Island. Saw All Stars once and stopped there for a long time. Then RR came out.
I watched the first three seasons out of order like Star Wars 😂💀

Compared to Island, I feel that Action was a letdown in a lot of ways. The only thing I could say I really enjoyed was the movie based challenges. They ruined a lot of good characters like Geoff, Bridgette, Trent. A lot of friendships became non existent like Gwen and Leshawna. The ranking was a bit unfair at times (Owen returning after the merge to get “3rd place” really was unnecessary). Also I’m Not hating on Beth, but I feel that this should’ve been Lindsay’s season to win. Lindsay vs Duncan or even Lindsay vs Harold would’ve been more of a better choice.
Trent was the worst and saddest part that season
Dude went from a chill and laid back guy to acting like a borderline psychopath
I get that. I really enjoyed it because of the uniqueness of it. No other season is like it and the setting/general style provided a sort of experimentation that I like. It’s also super underrated imo.
