To be fair. The act of taking these off almost always creates more cracks. But even so, that's well-fucking-worn.
Legitimate question. Did she deliberately go and crack it in as many ways as possible or were these all accidents? I seriously can’t imagine how so many people live with the same issue
Well, the many cracks within the central part of the screen protector is probably because you have to peel it off of the phone to remove it, and that causes many cracks once you fully take it off.
But the cracks along the edges are probably from actual daily use. Once a corner starts to crack, it becomes easier and easier for little fragments to shed off
I’ve used and payed attention to these cracks on my own protectors for nearly a decade now. Those flaky edge pieces don’t come off if there aren’t cracks to behind with. But I can see with people who don’t care so much about their phone as I do that they’ll just slid their phone down on the protector because that’s what it’s there for over time those little cracks will add up. Still hard for me to accept people don’t take for their things like I do I guess
you are aware accidents happen and some people have moter control issues?
Of course
Yes I actually know OP’s daughter and she gets a real kick out of putting as many cracks as possible in her screen protector. Entirely deliberate
"I actually know OP's daughter..."
PANIK
We all know your daughter, Dave.
You’d be surprised just how common this is.
Hate all you incels want. Doesn’t change the truth.
Clearly you don't own an airfryer
And you don’t have an oven
Fair play to it, it did its job. Rest in peace good phone cover.
She deserves an award for this! Rock star phone use and abuse!
Looks like it did its job pretty well.
They break very easily which is one thing, but this one looks like it was CHEWED on.

Love that show!
Money well spent
best commercial for screen proteccer ever
I bought a $30 PanzerGlass once and it cracked out of nowhere the next day, now I just buy the $1 screen protectors from China and change them every now and then
My mom’s looks like that lmaooo
You should be proud your daughter knows how to take care of her things responsibly!
I can’t tell if the phone is scratch-free since the phone I’m looking at this on is full of scratches
I’ve had the same screen protector on for two years, and it barely even has any scratches. How the hell do some people manage to crack a screen protector that bad?

Like, awesome that it protected that phone and whatnot
But I seriously can't grasp how some people drop their phone often enough for a tempered glass screen protector to even look like that.
Phones are fuckin expensive... Even 'cheap' ones are several hundreds of dollars....
Seriously, do people really not care about their stuff that much to do as much as possible to not drop or have accidents happen to their phone?
Yes, I know accidents happen, but from the way that protector looks it was subject to time after time of drops and potentially careless use...
I dropped my phone once after putting a tempered glass protector on and it cracked. (The protector)
Not everybody have good hands.
I have motor problems, my hand randomly stops holding whatever I was holding at that moment or it doesn't receive the signal to grip hard enough.
Then there're people with tics and tremors, then there're people who are just overall really clumsy and knowing their clumsiness decided to protec their phone the bes they can. Accidents happens, some are unpreventable but foreseeable. Not every people you know has a good pair of hands and even if they do, you don't know what they go through.
Screen protectors are made out of 0,5 mm glass they might crack just by having keys in the same pocket
Did you know?
People are different

Most if not all of my women friends phones look like this:D Purses are wild:D
I’m going to say that it was worth the investment.
They always are! Can’t recommend them enough.
Won't use a phone without one.
Cannot understand that curved screen fad that is finally dying down, couldn’t get any kind of good screen protector for it.
Especially a curved screen / underscreen fingerprint scanner combo. Any kind of damage to the soft screen protectors that you have to use and just unlocking the phone becomes a ballache. Ask me how I know
I just found one for my OnePlus, I hate that curve screen crap. It's an unnecessary gimmick
ive found bunch of cheap and good screen protector glasses for my Samsung Galaxy S9 :o
And won't use one without a phone as well
Here's what I struggle to understand.
What's the point of protecting the screen if you're never going to use it without a screen protector?
Like by the time my screen is actually scratched quite bad, it's been a few years, and I'm getting a new phone anyway.
I work construction so any little chip rock or whatever that can scratch or crack my screen, cracks the screen protector instead. I replace mine about once every 3 months, vs having to repair my phone over and over
That totally makes sense. I work at a laptop, so I didn't think of this.
Thanks
Screens are so much more durable than screen protectors. The idea that anything that scratches or cracks the protector would have scratched the screen is false logic. I've never used protectors in 11 years of smartphone use and I've only cracked a screen once (a high distance drop on concrete). And that was three gorilla glass generations ago, probably would have survived with the current gen gorilla glass.
The screen protectors protect both from cracks and scratches. I've never cracked my phone screen while it has had a screen protector on it.
Plus, scratches heavily impact resale value. I usually resell my phones or trade them in when I upgrade and if the screen is scratched to shit, I'm not going to get very much for it. It just doesn't make sense not to use a screen protector IMO. Especially with how inexpensive they are.
Replacing a cracked screen protector is $10.
Replacing a cracked screen is a lot more than $10.
Two years on my S10+. No case and no screen protector. I'd never have it any other way, I can't stand covering up the natural beauty of a phone. Cases are fucking ugly. And I work in an automotive shop, so it sees rough use. It's still not hard to keep a phone nice, I don't get how people trash stuff so easily.
It's a phone, not jewelry. It just has to work without failures, and a rubber case + screen protector help that to happen.
Women's pockets are TINY. My phone has gotten scratched at the edges of the case when I turn a corner and it hits a table. The phone also very easily falls out when it's in my front pocket and I'm squatting to look at something at work (even if I'm wearing sweat pants, they are large but still shallow by design). If you put it in your purse, a thin case and screen protector are a must have because other things in your purse will scratch the screen. I personally always need a case, but I have a clear case because my phone is quite pretty.

Exactly, I feel this.
I had my screen crack under the protector one time and the protector didn’t even chip on the side
"investment"
they're 2 dollars.
Which is exactly why it's insane how good the returns are
Your time to get the protector is investment too
