Do you like dangerous, grumpy mmc's? Do you like happy, kind fmc's? Do you slow burn historical romance?

Gush/Recommendation 😍

Well do I have a book for YOU! In Total Surrender by Anne Mallory is one of my favorite romance books so far. I plowed through the whole thing in a day and a half 😅 My only criticism --

SPOILER WARNING BECAUSE I DONT KNOW HOW TO BLACK OUT TEXT

-- is that the steamy scenes were not very descriptive, and, well, I don't like that lol. I want like 6 pages of somebody getting their soul pounded right out of their body. Alas, that is my preference, but didn't stop me from thoroughly enjoying the book.

END OF SPOILER

Please check it out if you like the angry mc falls for nice mc trope! And let me know what you think! Thank you all for providing such great recommendations and discussions ❤

You can black out the text by using

! Text !< Remember there is no space. I put space just to show u the tag.

It looks like this >!I love hot guys!<

So it's book 3, is this an issue if I haven't read bk 1 and 2? (awww man it's regency, nevermind lol, just isn't my cup of tea, thank you though for the recommendation!)

OH GIRL this is perfect timing! I literally just started reading Seven Secrets of Seduction, the first in this series, and it is blowing me away with the flirting and the super witty dialogue. It is often a complaint of mine that authors try very very hard to write witty dialogue but fail because (and here I sound like a mega bitch) they themselves are not naturally witty. Anne Mallory nails it, and it is a delight to read her character's verbal sparring. I cannot wait to get to In Total Surrender. I did initially start reading it first but felt a little groundless as I had no idea what time period it was supposed to be (neither the blurb nor the opening chapter actually tells you).

So YES I support this gush and add my own to it, which sounds a bit disgusting but hey we're all romance lovers here lol.
