Confidence
When I fade away I want them to say
He
Had
Confidence
But with an asterisk.
Not just confidence,
or else I would be out of context.
Confidence without morality
is manipulation.
Confidence without kindness
steps on the spines of others.
Confidence without questioning
is an ignorant atom bomb.
Confidence without patience
is a doomed blitzkrieg.
Confidence without experience
is all theoretical.
When I fade away I want them to say
He
Had
Confidence.
A quiet disposition
that did just
a little good.

This is a wise poem. I sometimes struggle with confidence, and this poem shows the reader how to be confident in a wise way. My favorite part is that you start with morality, showing the reader that confidence without morality isn't really what you mean by confidence. Good job!
