Anyone else having this issue after the update?

All the buttons are missing, and if the DLC is enabled then so is the menu outline. I've tried reinstalling the C++ redistributable (old post said it fixed a similar issue) but that didn't help, steam says the files are all good, restarting PC didn't help. Any ideas?
Edit: Reinstalling completely didn't help either.

Having the same issue, verifying/reinstalling the game and restarting PC did not fix.

Do you have any mod or something? My game couldn't launch because of the no HUD mod

This is appearing in the launch logs for me (C:\Users<user>\AppData\LocalLow\Mobius Digital\Outer Wilds\Player.log). Seems related: https://pastebin.com/mvCMamPp
Not quite sure what is causing this, but I'm guessing there will be a hotfix or something out later.

found a solution that worked for me: removing all of my saves from the game files, disabling steam cloud, and adding back only the save I wanted to use. Weirdly, I had a save there that I couldn't see ingame, perhaps that was the cause?

Yep, this fixed it. Seems like the cause might have been from failure to load the user's profile, based on the log messages. In my case, I think it happened because my PC shut off during the time loop sequence, which is likely where the game saves.

My computer shut off while I was in game as well and now I'm having this issue. I only have one save though so the fix above isn't working for me.

I’m having a very similar issue. I had to reinstall the game because it wouldn’t launch and now when I open it it opens on blank space with no text and with the main menu planet in shadows. I don’t even have the logo
