Questions about RTA transfer and insurance

Hi all,

I'm planning on buying a second hand car this week and had a few questions regarding FTA transfer process and insurance:

  1. the seller says the vehicle already passed inspection. Do we need to pass the vehicle again if we want to do transfer of ownership?

  2. how can I already get insurance before going to RTA? Is that possible and if so, what documents do I need?

  3. is it correct that you are not required to get the plastic mulkiya card? Just the digital copy is fine?

  4. how much is the price for new license plates? Does it come with a play holder? Stupif question but should I bring a screwdriverto mount it? Does it come with screws?

As you can see I'm pretty clueless and would appreciate your input to know more about the process. Any tips are welcome to make the transfer as smooth as possible.

    1. i belive the test report is valid for 30 days.
    1. ask him for a copy of the car registration card and then get a quote from insurancemarket.ae etc you can do it all over watsapp and get the policy before you go to RTA.
    1. i only got the digital copy this year
    1. Cant remember license plate price its on RTA website. It didn't come with screws or holes in the plates, i had to pay some guy in the parking lot to do it and mount it.
