Favourite inserts?

Recommendations

I have a stash of used pocket diapers that will probably need upgraded inserts soon as all the ones I have are microfibre and some of them are getting old. What are your favourites? Bamboo? Hemp? Cotton?

I only cloth diaper during the day and while we’re home, we use disposables for night and when leaving the house so they don’t necessarily have to be the highest quality or super crazy absorbency. Looking for a balance of inserts that could last awhile without being crazy expensive. Not interested in charcoal.

Thanks!

Thirsties hemp prefolds for night, Osocozy cotton prefolds for day or Greener Odyssey hemp/bamboo terry for a trimmer option.

I love Thirsties hemp inserts, but they’re expensive. For cotton I have Green Mountain doublers and I like them, their edges have grey stitching so it makes sorting laundry quick.

My daughter was a heavy wetter so I found the Thirsties hemp inserts to be well worth it. I would combine with a half cotton flat or microfiber.

I really like the XL inserts from Texas Tushies for our heavy wetter. I also really like to use thirsties hemp inserts to boost.

Two bamboo inserts work great for us! I find them to be trim but very absorbent. You really don’t need hemp unless baby is a heavy wetter.

I used to use cheap kitchen towel flats paired with a hemp/cotton booster. Then I bought Cloth-eez Muslin Flats and those are plenty absorbent on their own.
