I think CP rail was looking to pawn it off on the City.

It's quite amazing how much abandoned infrastructure there is in Calgary and the surrounding area if one knows what to look for - abandoned rail lines in the city, do the CPR and the CNR still retain ownership of those lands?

I suppose that's preferable to "white slime"

I believe there is pink slime in that tunnel last I was down there.

There is still so much track and abandoned railway infrastructure in that area.  Even the Calgary Herald building has a track leading into it.   


Have any of you checked out the abandoned rail tunnel underneath Deerfoot? I assume it's just full of empty liquor bottles and graffiti but it might be cool to check out.
