I am currently working a unionized facility that is in ongoing collective bargaining meetings. We have a meeting later this week to vote on a new collective agreement. Due to timing of the meeting clashing with coworkers shift schedules there is a large number of employees who are unable to attend the voting session. The union representative's solution for this is to have employees text him their votes and he will put the vote into the ballot box for them. From what I understand this would be considered proxy voting. I am concerned about the integrity of the process and am wondering if anyone here can clarify if this is allowed under Alberta labour law.

Have any of you checked out the abandoned rail tunnel underneath Deerfoot? I assume it's just full of empty liquor bottles and graffiti but it might be cool to check out.

cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/alberta-drought-ro...Anyone have plans for this halloween?
Handing out candy to trick or treaters? Still expecting a turnout or is it porch lights out with the snow?
Going to the one or two night clubs that we still have? I saw the booty shorts costume crowd out in full force outside National tonight on my drive home.
I'm stuck working a 12 hour shift on Halloween. At absolute best I might watch Army of Darkness at work in my office.
