Downloads, Pictures, Templates, etc. folders being created in my Documents folder

Question

Please help it's so annoying, every time I delete them they reappear. The strange part is that they're in /home/me/Documents instead of just /home/me folder itself.

Let me know any info I can provide that would be helpful, I'm running Arch with Plasma 5.23.3, Frameworks 5.88 but it's been present across multiple versions.

You can check and change the path of these folders in Locations module of System Settings.

Go to System Settings -> Applications -> Locations and set the default directories there. I don't know if that has changed since, but the last time I tried, I couldn't set the directory to a drive that gets automounted at login, it would just reset any time I restart the plasma shell.

If you use wine, it can also cause this problem.
