Can someone explain how I ended up in an Angel room without getting the "blessed" buff?

You have curse of the lost…clearly you just got lost otw to the devil room.
But yeah first floor sac room tele always to angel room unless you have something making you only get devil deals

Played a sac room I found, didn't get the "you feel blessed" buff, got the teleport to a deal room and was surprised to end up in an Angel room. I don't have any mods that change mechanics whatsoever, they're purely cosmetic or External Item Descriptions, but who knows, maybe spaghetti code happened.

You know what, I had totally forgotten about that. I was so used to having to deal with red chest bug or playing the sac room after getting the deal room i had completely forgotten that the Angel room is guaranteed if you get the teleport before fighting the boss, on top of the fact that I had only started playing again (since flash isaac) with repentance, so I forgot how it worked.

You get an angel room if you haven't visited a devil room before, so since it's basement 2 you didn't visited a devil room so the angel will be guaranteed, but if you entered one previously (and didn't take any deal) you will be teleported to either one

Sac rooms always leads you to Angel rooms, even in basement 1.

sac rooms lead to angel rooms unless the floor generates with a devil room in it, which if you have devil deal precedent they always will
