The first person you went on a date with when you were 18 or older is now your spouse and through plot magic, you'll die instantly if you separate/get divorced. How good (or bad) is your life? Or are you dead, having chosen that option?

I’ve been with my husband since I was 17 (married him at 24) and my life is pretty damn great.

I was hoping there'd be a few wholesome stories here 😊

I turn 37 in a couple weeks and we have 2 kids. I can’t believe next year will be 20 years together!!

Does it still count as separation/divorce if I kill him? Lol

Personally? I'm dead and lovin' it, because the first date I went on when I was 18 (my first girlfriend was when I was 17; we broke up before my 18th birthday) was with someone who cheated on me relentlessly, was dumb as a brick, couldn't do a damn thing on her own as an adult, and I only stayed with her as long as I did because her nymphomania extended to me as well as those other guys.

Now, the second girl I dated post-18th birthday...I think if I'd have married her, we'd have figured out a way to keep it going. We broke up mainly because of youth and wanderlust/need for exploration rather than lack of compatibility.

Considering he was an abusive piece of shit? I’d be dead

Info: will the person treat me like they did on the first date, or like they did afterward?

If it’s like the first date, then it’s a great life. If he treats me as he did later, I’ll take the instant death option, please.

You'll have been married for as long as the interval between that first date and however old you are now (in my case, 26 years!)

Let's force him into an arranged marriage with my ex-girlfriend from back then. They sound like they deserve each other.

Haha that would be a sight to see.

Ooooh that would be awkward. I'd do it. But it would take a lot of rebuilding.

Is it bad that I don’t remember who it was?

Possibly, or it just means your first one was so bland and unmemorable that you'd probably be OK being married, if a bit bored. Or maybe she'd have given you great kids.

What if this is me IRL? So I would say I’m doing very well.
