Disappearing Weapon, glitch??

I have no idea what happened but my Anti-armor Explosive Handmade just up and disappeared from my Pip-boy several minutes ago. I was fast travelling to the Mothman event and looking to my weapon wheel for my AAE handmade and there was just a blank spot.

I am generally verry (sic) careful about dropping things from my inventory but it is possible even if unlikely. For sure it wasn't in my vendor, but it's possible it got transferred to my Stash box (more likely) but in any case is not there either. It cannot be scrapped accidentally as it's a legendary, and very unlikely it was sold to a train station vendor as they had no caps for me most of the day and I have used it since my last sold item.

I am somewhat skeptical about the "vendor glitch" but I am left wondering how this could have happened. Anyone have their own tales of disappearing weapons. I rolled this myself fairly recently and it was close as anything I have to a groll. (third star not perfect but +1 P) .... sad emoji

Agreed. Put a ticket in. The vendor glitch scares the heck out of me to the point that I've hardly been open for months.

I read your post a time or two, but did you per chance have a skin on that Handmade?....Screaming Eagle/Tropical etc? I've heard that the only thing that will save your butt is to skin your favorite things....if one is available. Good luck getting this sorted.

Definitely put a ticket in about that weapon... not an easy one to find

I just filed a ticket, we'll see what happens.

I have 5 characters and this is probably my best weapon but is on my least played toon (he's still level 221). I think I have a Vamps handmade with 50/50 Vats/crits which is pretty decent on another secondary toon. My main (level 351) just uses a (2*) Vamps ffr handmade and quad fixer/teslas and I haven't better that handmade in over 100 levels with him. These things can be tough to get given the game's RNG process.

it happent to me almost twice, it happens on the scrip machine when the server is slow / busy , it shows one item as market and while hitting the sell button another one gets put in the machine.....ALWAYS check what items ended up in there before closing the trade window

this is possible if the machine had lag, good tip

I am also putting paint on everything valuable. (I think there is nothing for Plasma guns though)
