I finally got my 40 Atoms today after 5200+ hours in the game

TLDR: I got a full set of OE armor today by using only 16 modules.

I know a fair bit about random samples, sample sizes and probability theory. This isn't a math lesson but I wanted to share my experience today in regards to the game and how it processes crafting items using its own RNG algorithms.

I crafted the five different pieces of Secret Service armor x2 today and got the Overeaters prefix on 3 of them. I then rolled another set of SS (5x1 piece each) and got another overeaters for one of the two pieces missing from the set. So I was missing only one limb (left arm), and I tried rolling one more time just for that piece. Guess what? I got the OE prefix on one roll. This should not be

an easy way to get an audio holotape is by completing the Ecological Balance quest. Any of the holotapes (air, soil, water) count towards the daily challenge

fastest ever daily op for me today completed in 3:48 m/s. Also just a 3-person team.

D.O. type was Decryption at the Watoga Raider arena, and (scorched?) slows targets.

The new scoreboard is very disappointing to me as it seems most new rewards are geared towards Power Armor users and a few niche weapons and some armor paints

There's an interesting Pip Boy paint at rank 32 and a chuckwagon cooking station at rank 50, a jet pack skin at 88.

I got sent to the black screen (3 times) and had to close the game and restart - so a caution to you. If you're on a team you should be able to rejoin the same server, otherwise not.

What she's selling was of interest me to complete my collection of Artic Marine sturdy armor which has been a rare drop from daily ops. Even on my regular characters I still needed a piece or two to complete my sets. Prices in *Go

Today I crafted 10 SS armour pieces (2 of each) to use up my legendary modules, and of the ten, FOUR were Nocturnal. I am not sure of the proper probabilities of this happening but with 20 different primary types it should be long odds indeed. A distribution curve would predict the most common nocturnal at 0.5 (so 0 or 1 most likely outcomes, and 4 would be fairly extreme... see math below)

ps. of course, none were Unyielding, Vanguard, or Weightless (I did get one chameleon but it was a 1-star)

There has been a bug for this particular badge for probably 2 years and I just got this to work today.

I have had my newest character stuck on this incomplete badge since creation. Just for fun I tested it just now and built a Wooden Instrument in my Camp. I selected Chairs under the build menu, clicked on the acoustic Guitar and voila, my merit Badge popped.

I have no idea what happened but my Anti-armor Explosive Handmade just up and disappeared from my Pip-boy several minutes ago. I was fast travelling to the Mothman event and looking to my weapon wheel for my AAE handmade and there was just a blank spot.

I am generally verry (sic) careful about dropping things from my inventory but it is possible even if unlikely. For sure it wasn't in my vendor, but it's possible it got transferred to my Stash box (more likely) but in any case is not there either. It cannot be scrapped accidentally as it's a legendary, and very unlikely it was sold to a train station vendor as they had no caps for me most of the day and I have used it since my last sold ite

I was just in my Camp this morning when a level 140-ish player dropped and and started to chat to me on his mic. Wanted to see if I wanted some Free stuff ... sure thing.

The next thing I know he started dropping all sorts of Guns, melee weps, Armor. Big heart Emoji.

When I quickly gathered in the loot find, and assessed value/worth I determined he had given me around 80-90k caps including an Bloodied, Explosive Minigun with 25% less Vats AP cost that should fetch close to max caps (it's in my machine for 30k but willing to negotiate trades if anyone on PS wants it. Prefer combo of pure flux and caps, but always looking for nice Handmades or Fixers, prefer Vampires or AA or Quad).
