When did y'all stop crating at night?
Low-key I feel like Luna sleeps SO much better in her crate at night. She's 7 months and surprisingly a quiet dog so she just lays there till morning lol. She's definitely slept with me in my room multiple times but mostly those times are when she has bad diarrhea so I have to keep watch (sad). I feel like she is a light sleeper and wakes up to any noise multiple times if I move around so she doesn't get the full sleep compared to the crate.
Also trying to promote her soon to leaving her out in the living rather than the crate while I'm gone like getting some groceries but kinda worried. She's not even destructive at all. She has some separation anxiety so I feel like all she's gonna do is chew on toys and lay around feeling sad and sleep.
Any advice and just experiences will be nice ๐ she's a well behaved dog at home (but crazy during walks haha), I'm kinda proud of myself.

TBH I don't understand why you want to stop crating her at night if you think it's beneficial for her? There's no rule you eventually have to stop. For some dogs this is the best choice life long.
My female (nearly three now and spayed) was extremely trust worthy about 1 year old and also never actually liked the crate much, it was more of a tolerated it ok type of thing. So we started leaving it open at night and her choice was to sleep under our bed like a den or on the sofa. She just passes out and we wake her up in the morning LOL
Our male is just over a year old now, and loves his crate like it's his safe personal bedroom and puts himself in it every night and even during the day. I have zero intention of ever not crating him while out of the house or at night. He is not trustworthy not to eat weird stuff he shouldn't while we aren't watching, gets destructive in anxiety if left home alone, and he's an intact show dog. Even if he eventually was less anxious alone and stopped eating things he shouldn't, I wouldn't stop crating him because in the future there's a possibility we may have unspayed females in the house as well, and he would absolutely need to be crated then and separated, so it's good just to keep him happy with his crate and in his routine rather than break into freedom just to take it away again.
