It's probably not a great sign that they seem to be sliding Dante back to Matt Sydal.
Darius got more of a mention tonight than Lio and he's been gone for like a year.

Yeah they didn’t mention him at all Dante said it’s been Matt whose been looking out for him. Lio said him and Tony were fine, but him no longer being with Dante is a little weird.

Only plausible explanation to me is that the swole stuff was never fully resolved. He’s working so he’s clearly healthy and willing to wrestle, he was advertised to be in Dante’s corner for the Hobbs match and he no showed with no explanation, and creatively it makes no sense to pull him out of this storyline. Maybe it turns out to not be the case but based on what we know it’s logical to assume there’s something going on with his relationship with the company.

here’s my thing after letting it marinate. if he had a real issue, it doesn’t feel to me like he couldn’t have approached TK on the side, maybe with Daniels there since he is talent relations, and explain to Tony why he was wrong in his approach and explain his side. jumping down your boss’ throat, screaming on public social media for the world to see, APOLOGIZE RIGHT THE FUCK NOW (paraphrasing), is not a good look. especially when the competition is looking for any dissent in the ranks or any reason to point the finger that they are failing.
in any other company, entertainment or otherwise, such kind of behavior has consequences. this is not anyone targeting Lio or making an example, but letting him get away with it sets an awful precedent down the line. I’m sure he’s just being cooled off before being brought back, but time will tell.

I’m pretty sure Dante is Lio’s protégé. Lio is the mentor figure in that relationship.

Disagree. Man is better than mediocre. I don't argue quality but I think you're hyperbolically underselling. More important than just his quality, he is unique. He's probably the fastest man in the ring today, and he delivers driven promos you feel he believes.

I saw him Saturday in Seattle at the NJPW Strong tapings. My buddy caught his shirt. Great show and he looked great.
