So where are you really from?

So I'm foreign looking and have a foreign name, but I'm born here, grew up here and have a Belgian passport. Yet everytime I have to show my id people ask, so where are you from, so I say Belgium, and then it's always BuT WHerE arE yOu RealLY frOM?

This overt low key racism happens all the time here :( and I'm sick and tired of hearing it.

Just venting.

Edit: just want to add that I'm mainly talking about official/legal/office type of settings.
