Lucky Destiny

Odds and chances determine,

They our destinies define.

You can struggle in whatever direction,

But luck ultimately decides.

How carefully you place your bets.

Wagers balanced in turn,

To minimize the chance of catastrophe,

But oh, how that wheel can just turn

And come to a ticking slow stop.

That clack just a laugh in the face.

Of the man who thought he could manage

Or even just influence fate.
