Weighted Sleep Sacks/Swaddles

Advice Needed

In a moment of desperation when LO was two weeks old we got two weighted sleep swaddles (Dreamland) and combined with a warmed up bassinet he started sleeping much better. Now I have the issue that he's outgrown the swaddle and I'm debating whether I should continue to use the next size up. I would hate to create a dependency on weighted sleep items but at 11 weeks old I'm also desperate for any extra sleep we can achieve.

Are any other parents using weighted sleep aids? I'd love to hear some thoughts on it.

I wouldn’t take the risk because I’d worry about them not being able to flip back over. Like the other said, I’d do a regular sleep sack and see how it goes. My baby had 0 issues going from swaddle to sleep sack and been sleeping 10+ hrs

My personal worry with them as they get older is flipping on their stomachs and not being able to flip back with the weight. First, I would try a normal sleep sack and see how that goes. I switched from a swaddle to a sleep sack for my newborn and it took a couple of weeks to get used to it but he did.

I like nested bean! And then a thicker duvet style sleep sack when they get bigger before I introduce a blanket
