Diecast car doors that won't stay closed
Any ideas on how to keep a 1/18 car door closed. It easily pushes all the way closed, but as soon as I let go it pops open about 1/16". I cannot see any pressure points or obstacles. I also have a 1/32 car doing the exact same thing. I may be wrong but I figure on the less expensive manufacturers like Signature, which both of these are, this may be common. Not knocking Signature, I have others by them that are very nice. Any help is much appreciated. The only idea I can come up with other than fixing them permanently closed, is to affix a hidden "wedge" under the inside door and make it rub against the interior flat area under that. I'm hoping this would be just enough friction to hold the door closed, and still be able to open it once in a while. I'm thinking of using clear cabinet bumpers and carefully cutting a thin self adhesive wedge to fill in that little gap between the interior door panel underneath and the top of the rocker panel.

It’s annoying, happens on my BBurago Vette, I guess a little bluetac on the innerds of the door could work
Never heard of bluetac...I bought a small package of it and for my cheaper car it did the trick perfectly. I'll try a hidden rubber wedge under the door of my better car with the stubborn door first, but if all else fails I'll bluetac that one as well. Can't obsess over these kinds of issues!! Thank you for this very helpful tip.
Common school supply over in the U.K. it’s good to hear that did the trick
