Bao Zi in OC? (South preferred)

Food

Hi all and Happy Lunar New Year!

I've been craving some bao zi for a while but since it looks like Lee's Bao Zi is closed (permanently??), I don't know of anywhere in South OC where I could get some. That was the only place I had managed to find around here before :(

Anyone know of some south oc bao zi places?

Diho Bakery in Irvine - sold in refrigerator (cooked) and you microwave or steam at home to reheat

Not a bad idea to buy a bunch. Do you know if they freeze well?

The chef from Lee's Bao Zi seems to like to start restaurants, sell them and move to a different one. Before that store, he had one in Laguna Hills I frequented and then he left and moved onto to Lee's. I'm sure he'll have something else up soon...

Capital Seafood at the Spectrum is pretty decent

That's true I do like that place. Trying for more of a takeout option though.

But if I must I may just go there for a sit down meal sometime soon to get my craving satisfied. I think they are the closest to me

It's so sad how little there is around here. Really looks like I gotta make my way to Irvine to even have a chance.

Thanks for the suggestion!

DIY.

The steam baskets are cheap from Amazon. Same for the paper liners (and even reusable silicone ones). Some are even small enough to fit inside Instant Pots. 3 minutes on normal pressure.

Frozen dumplings and dipping sauces can be ordered online: https://calidumpling.com and https://thexcj.com

Comes out the same way. Chew on that.
