No link to avoid brigading issues but you can probably find the post pretty easy if you wanted to look for it for context.

A teacher was upset over getting a whopping 10 dollar gift card for appreciation week. There's a few comments recognizing teachers are paid shit, but even those are placating with "but they still shouldn't complain when they get a gift"

I felt like I was in bizarro world compared to I feel the response that would have been given here had that teacher come in to complain about this scenario

Way too many "don't complain at least you got something" comments on a post about a notoriously underpaid profession getting a pretty low cost "gift"

I guess the people over there

Wondering what everyone is doing for the event right now. Once you've beat it (or gone as far as you can) you need to farm it (a lot) if you're looking to clear out the shop

The codes give us some event currency but with the plethora of items in there it still takes grinding

Are y'all grinding to clear out the shop? Or maybe just for a few items?

I'm not sure how much I want to spend my stamina on things like avatars or even the furniture.

The shop opens up with more options in 5 days so you can pre-farm as well.

I'm not sure if I want to clear out the shop or just get some essentials and focus on nuts/utensils/etc

Hi all. I looked around a few times to see what kind of advice I could get for the moon event as someone with I guess mid tier gear at this point (two legendary and an epic gear) and wanted to throw out here what worked for me in case someone finds themselves in the same boat for the next time it comes around.

I have the double earnings for life perk. No other paid options

I did not use gems for double/5x because I am trying to save all gems for boxes until I get the ultimates I want

At first I tried leveling just lettuce. Since that's usually the way to go I figured if I had patience it would take a while but then be worth it. (For those unfamiliar, for regular play and other events it's

When I first start the game it can take some time for the server to even start up. I sit staring at the screen for a full minute+ so I can double my offline earnings.

Then I go through that ad and have to wait another minute+ for the next one.

It's taken over 2 minutes before (maybe longer but by then I give up) just to be able to click for the next ad

I don't mind games with ads. But this is the only one I've ever played that seems to have real trouble getting them to me in the first place.

Real tired of seeing "loading" over a greyed out button for several minutes.

Is there anything that can be done about this? I can't be the only one as I don't have this issue with any of my other f

Hi all! I've gotten a few messages asking about our local troop of homeless girls based out of the OC Rescue Mission. I just received the following email with order info for the girls' cookie sales this year so am passing it along.

If you want some cookies, this is a great troop to support!

Hello,

You are receiving this email because you previously ordered Girl Scout cookies from Troop 1082 at the Orange County Rescue Mission. We would like to thank you for your support in the past and let you know we are once again selling cookies! Troop 1082 is a shelter troop in Orange County, CA with about 15 girls in grades K-6. Your support with cookie sales has helped tremendously the last

I know Amazon's working conditions are beating a dead horse but this was posted to a local Facebook page and the shills came out of the woodwork with all the same tired bullshit: "MY job is harder and I have to deal with it" (crabs in a pot) and the wombo combo of "it's like this everywhere" and "if you don't like it work somewhere else" without a hint of realizing the contradiction.

Meanwhile I'm sitting here like "unionize plz I'm begging you" 😩 I guess I just needed to vent here. Thanks for indulging me.

Posting full text below for context.

Amazon is not the great place to work that they would like you to believe.

I have talked to people who directly work at Amazon. Sp

Hi all! My spouse and I are going to be moving to the area soon due to work. This isn't the best timing to buy a house but we don't have a choice so we are trying to make it work.

One of the ideas we have is to get a lot, plop down a tiny home on it, and then eventually save enough to build the "real" house then use the tiny home as a guest house or even rent it out. It's a way to put in sweat equity and not worry about ending up upside down on a house that is currently overvalued.

However, I know certain places have rules about how many housing units you can have, what size the homes have to be, etc.

Especially since we would be building the "ADU" first, I don't know how the rules would

Hi all and Happy Lunar New Year!

I've been craving some bao zi for a while but since it looks like Lee's Bao Zi is closed (permanently??), I don't know of anywhere in South OC where I could get some. That was the only place I had managed to find around here before :(

Anyone know of some south oc bao zi places?
