Does anyone else get the sense...BOBF Ep6 Spoilers

Does anyone else get the sense that Disney is considering a Luke event series or even a movie? Bringing him back once in Mando could have just been enough. Now they bring him back and for significantly more time.

Not only more time, but he does so much more and says so much more than before. Almost feels like they're using these appearances as a way to perfect the techniques used so they can implement them all in something featuring Luke as the main character.

There were a few uncanny valley moments in this, but only if you are really looking out for them and I imagine they will only improve it the more they do it and the more data they refine for the process.

I don't know. I'd think they'd have to upgrade the tech even more before they made him a main character. I could see him having parts in some shows though.

Certainly feels like it, even going back to some of the reactions to his appearance not looking right in Mando and ILM hired the YouTuber who made a better version.

Disney knows for sure how badly they fucked his character up and somehow didn’t know how much fans loved his character. They are working on a fix. Thankfully.

I mean, why go through all the trouble of honing in the deep fake tech like that just to... Not use it? No, not buying that.

What I think is going to happen is Luke is going to be used as a plot mechanism or crutch in the other "spin off" (?) shows. He'll have some rolls here and there in the coming Ahsoka show for sure, no doubt.

Yeah, I imagine we're definitely going to see Ahsoka finding and meeting Luke in her show. Their relationship was far to casual in this one not to have it expanded on further.

I'm also hoping the deep fake tech is another attempt at Tron... one can only hope!

I think they did a fantastic job with Luke in this episode. World's better than his appearance in The Mandalorian.

Honestly I think they're testing the waters in a broader sense. Seeing what they can accomplish I doubt they'll stop at just Luke. The possibilities are endless with deepfake tech.

Personally I'd watch a show about Luke and Lando hunting down Sith artifacts. When they teased it in RoS I remember thinking I'd love to see that.

Nah just bring back the goat trio - Obi Wan, Anakin and AHSOKA + Captain Rex - all in live action for a film 😭

The inclusion of Thrawn means we will certainly be seeing more live action Luke. And hopefully Mara Jade as well

Not necessarily. Zahn's canon Thrawn books have set up a very different direction for the character. Expect most of his story to do play out in the unknown regions.

Haven't read into the new ones but still sounds a fair bit like the path Heir to the Empire took. Less im totally missing something
