I am looking for a series or standalone even, related to multiverse or alternate timeline hopping. Just something that gets into the different possible worlds in the multiverse with a good story to take you on the ride.

I recently read Quantum Radio by AG Riddle, and that is what I'm looking for but did not really care for this authors writing so looking for something different with a similar premise.

I have read some time loop books like Recursion by Blake Crouch and The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August Novel by Catherine Webb that get into different timelines but that's all in the same world. Basically something like Sliders in a novel format would be great.

Appreciate any suggesti

You come online to see you are now a new Bob clone. You pick a new name and realize you don’t want to assist with your Senior Bobs agenda and want to head off and do your own thing…what’s your plan?

I'm looking for suggestions of medieval or fantasy books with characters you can really come to love. Type of books that keep you coming back for rereads because you want to spend time in the world and with those characters.

Examples:

  • Riyria Revelations, love Royce and Hadrian's story and their friendship in the books.
  • Harry Potter is an obvious one, love a reread just to spend more time with the trio.
  • Bobiverse - Sort of the same character with slight variations, but similar to what I'm looking for.
  • Red Rising Trilogy - Another one with great characters that you really come to care about.

Hopefully those examples help point in the right direction, just looking for

Moved into my house in March of 2020 with an already existing theater room, though it was used with a TV. I did some quick and dirty upgrades to mount a screen for my projector. Now the time has come to do it right. So while waiting for new carpet we're going to paint with the old carpet out and I want to come up with a better solution to mount the screen.

The unfortunate part is the walls were put up with metal studs, so it is a lot trickier trying to put up supports for the screen when you can't just throw some nice lag bolts into a stud.

What I came up in the short term was pretty janky but in the end did the job. I made some 2x4 supports that I secured to the wall primarily with an sh

Looking for something either set in the past or regarding colonization of a new planet that deals with settling into a new environment, dealing with the struggles and coming up with new ways to survive and innovate.

My garage attic has two lights in it, one is controlled by a switch near the ladder into the attic, the other is controlled by a pull string on the fixture. I'd like to put them both on the switch which normally I wouldn't have much trouble with but it's current configured with the power coming from the light with the string. That feeds to the light that the switch controls and then there are two lines coming out of that fixture, one for the switch and one line that runs somewhere else entirely. So not sure how to keep that continuous line while also setting up both lights on the switch.

Here is a diagram of how it's setup that should go better than my explana

Does anyone else get the sense that Disney is considering a Luke event series or even a movie? Bringing him back once in Mando could have just been enough. Now they bring him back and for significantly more time.

Not only more time, but he does so much more and says so much more than before. Almost feels like they're using these appearances as a way to perfect the techniques used so they can implement them all in something featuring Luke as the main character.

There were a few uncanny valley moments in this, but only if you are really looking out for them and I imagine they will only improve it the more they do it and the more data they refine for the process.
