Opinion on diaper pods?

Recommendations

My child is starting child care soon, two days a week at a friends house. They do cloth with their daughter and will with mine as well. I’m placing an order for new inserts on alvababy because I need to start doubling up as she gets older, and noticed a good price on their diaper pods… they’re cute but are they any more convenient than just packing some diapers in a reusable grocery bag? I kinda want one just because I’m addicted to buying cloth diaper related items, but if they’re not really worth using I won’t bother. Just looking for opinions from people who’ve used them :)

I send all clean diapers in a wet bag. They tale them out and put them on the shelf, then put the dirty ones back in the wetbag as they go. One less thing to keep track of.

Yeah this is what I’m thinking. I just got sucked in by the cute prints 😂

It was my understanding that a pod or travel wet bag would be for the soiled diaper while baby is away from home. Sending fresh diapers in the cloth bag is fine but you want something water proof that seals well post use.

I’ve got a wet bag, just thinking of a pod for the clean diapers

I don't think you'd need it then. Just any bag works clean ones in my opinion

We use a pod (which is also a wet bag) to send our nappies to nursery.

Nursery find it easier because the nappies are stacked and are easy to pull out for them. Our nursery put dirty nappies in plastic bags (like the ones for disposables) and then into the pod - with the clean ones so the pod works well for them to do that and be able to easily get a clean nappy - which are made up with liners already.

I really like the pods for daycare because I can set him up for a few days at a time (he is in daycare 5 days a week, for 2days/week this may be overkill) and just grab a pod off the shelf and know it has all of the diaps/wipes/wet bag for the day. Just one less thing to think about in the morning

They are very cute, but honestly, I bought these packing cubes at Target for the daycare:. I put her back up clothes in the small one, and her diapers in the middle sized one, and I'm pretty happy with them

Yup I pack mine in nappy pods every night before daycare. I use 2 pods, and keep one full and one in his bag, then at night I take the empty one out and just stick the full one in for the next day, and I refill the empty one when I get a chance, rinse and repeat the next night.

I like having mine all tightly positioned in the pod so that nothing shifts around. Whether that matters may depend on what kind of diapers or inserts you use (I’ve been known to stick an insert under a folding tongue like in a Smartbottoms and that would def fall out in a bag).

While they're not a necessity, I like them because they pack so neatly and are pretty. I've got some on my favorite prints, I've used them for vacation and also as a changing bag. Having pretty things keep me going.

I only have a couple because they are cute patterns, they can be used as a wetbag if I forget to pack a wetbag, , and I love that the ones I have will snap onto the strap of my diaper bag. All of my wetbags do that too so in my mind a pod is just a wetbag with a different shape.
