Switched to Levoxyl and t4 now high.
I just switched my levothyroxine back to Levoxyl from a generic. The generic gave me horrible stomach issues. ITs been about 6 months. I just got my first blood test results back and now my t4 is high. I was on the generic for years with the results being ok.
Has anybody here changed to a brand name from a generic and had to get there dose lowered?

Was this Free T4, or Total T4? By high, do you mean over range, or high in range? What are your symptoms?
When changing to different brands, generic or name brands, thyroid hormones can go up or down.
Another important question: What time of day was your blood drawn previously, and what time was it drawn when your T4 was high?
I usually get my blood drawn first thing in the morning (every time). It was free t4 , tsh shows as low.
That means you’re swinging hyper and need a decreased dose
