I have an APC ups that needs a battery. Like everything else first party Batteries for APC are back ordered. I tried cdwg, GovConnections, and Insight. All backordered.

All 3 have a third party battery from BTI.

Would you wait and see how long it will take to get an APC replacement or would you just get a third party to make sure the servers are protected?

I cannot cast youtube content to my vizio tv anymore. The youtube logo comes up on the tv but just sits there for a minute or two and then just goes back to the chromecast screen. People in the chromecast forums are having the same issue. I can cast to a chromecast just fine and our nest devices. Just not both vizio tvs in the house.

Its only youtube its affecting.

I just switched my levothyroxine back to Levoxyl from a generic. The generic gave me horrible stomach issues. ITs been about 6 months. I just got my first blood test results back and now my t4 is high. I was on the generic for years with the results being ok.

Has anybody here changed to a brand name from a generic and had to get there dose lowered?

I have a covid test scheduled for tomorrow at 12:40. Has anybody been there yet? I have an appointment (scheduled a week in advance). Do I expect to wait for hours? Since it's appointment only is it a walk in ?

I actually work in a library but it's the same work just smaller. I was wondering if anybody knows if the Microsoft 365 A1 for devices license can be transferred to another computer? Public Libraries are now eligible for this, and I want to license all the computers in the library for this but some of the computers are older. IF I replace the computer with a new one, can I just use the same license as long as it is within the 6 years?

My original dentist retired. New dentist said I needed 3 root canals and to start with tooth 18. He wanted to do them all himself. I rather go to the endontist so I scheduled an endontist appt. He tried to still get me to have him do it instead. I went to endontist and endontist did xrays of all 3 teeth and said 18 just needs a filling and the other two might need a crown due to small cracks but not root canals. He did the cold and tap tooth tests as well to be sure. He gave me a recommendation for another dentist which I made an appointment for to fill the cavity.

Should I go back to the dentist who said 3 root canals and have him fill the cavity or just get my x-rays from him and go to

I am department Head Computer Services of a library in Suffolk County. Most Libraries sent in our 3d printers to SCLS (They coordinate county wide Library Business) to help with this project. I figured I would share this link in case others had a 3d printer at home and wanted to help . We have been making the parts for the face shields for Stony Brook Hospital. Stony Brook University partnered with the hospital to make these. SCLS has been helping the Icreate lab to 3d print some of the parts.

I am looking for everybody's opinion. I have an oil change appt that I made weeks ago tomorrow. Would you still go or would you reschedule it? Its for 7 in the morning and donaldsons said they are still open. Would you reschedule due to the risk or would you go and just wait outside or something. I know it seems like a stupid question with an obvious cancel the appointment answer but its hard to get an appointment normally there and when this is all over they will be even more swamped then normal.

I have a question. I am familiar with Ethernet but only familiar with the basics of fiber. Mainly dealing with connecting switches. There was a fiber cut in our area with our ISP (Altice lightpath). It affected our fiber point to point with them. When everything came back up one of our two point to points didnt come back up. I tested the sfps and they were ok. I looked at their equipment and at the mrvs at one end had 10db attenuators. I took off the attenuators and the connection came back up.

My question is why? Is it possible when they spliced everything back up the loss makes them not needed anymore? Lightpath told me since it was a p2p they can't check from their end but can send so

I have been going to the dentist every 6 month .My old dentist retired so I had to find a new one. I am on my second appt with the new dentist. He says I need 3 root canals due to broken fillings. Old dentist said 2 had to be watched due to being deep. Does this sound right? First appt hygienist saw me and did x-rays and said my teeth were beautiful and only had 1 that had to be watched.

Does this sound like a dentist looking for money or does it sound like my old dentist should have done work but didn't.

Anybody better explain the new licensing to me? I have been told by brittany at veeam that if I update to version 4 our veeam backup essentials perpetual will stop working entirely . Is that true? I either have to pay to upgrade the license or something. We also have agents expiring in April. What I got out of the conversiation is anybody upgrading to update 4 HAS to pay or everything stops working.

If that is true that is messed up . we are a public library and don't have the funds to pay just to fix bugs. I bought the 3 years of maintenance because it was supposed to include things like this.

Is there anyway to just buy replacement headphones for the deluxe audio strap? The pin came out of the hinge of mine and I am missing the part that holds the headphones into the hinge. I would like to buy just the headphones. I feel the dad is too fragile to continue using their headphones on it if they don't sell replacements.

Does anybody have any alternatives to screenly that can play videos on the raspberry PI? I was about to roll it out but then their customer support told me all free versions of screenly are being cancelled next year and it will be going paid only.

It stinks because screenly was very easy to use and did video.
