Community Day and Weather Boost
It seems that Community Days are great for gathering PVP-compatible characters, especially due to the movesets that are typically PVP focused. But if they are weather boosted they might not be able to be optimal - due to minimum IVs. I like the level boosting, but would be nice to remove the IV floor on Community Days.
Sorry if this is a well known topic, I didn't see anything when I searched.

That would be great for PvP-minded players, but bad for those who are hunting hundos or grinding for XL. Personally, I do all 3 and generally prefer to have weather boost, though it doesn't matter much to me either way. PvP players are a minority though. Almost everyone I know much prefers having weather boost.
I personally think they should rework the weather boost IV floor.
Rather than having a 4/4/4 IV floor for each stat, have it be an automatic 12 IV floor, just randomly distributed to the three stats. Meaning you could hypothetically get a 0/4/8 or something.
That way, typical PvP IV spreads would definitely be possible still, and would also have better odds to happen than normal, and that boosted odds to get a Hundo would also remain.
Yeah I've seen that idea before (maybe from you). I'd be happy with that.
Edit: I should note, though, that I think the specific way that's implemented would be important and I'm not sure how to do it well. Doing a random roll of 0-15 and then adding the boost after would have a very different effect than having the floor in place before rolling the IVs, which gets complicated if there isn't a set floor.
The odds would be boosted for a hundo over having a 0 floor, but this change also would add a lot of possible IV combinations by including all those IVs that can be under 4, so the odds wouldn't be nearly as good as they currently are for weather boosted encounters.
Are you sure? Maybe I'm getting my math mixed up and if so do let me know.
But would it not have the same odds versus weather boost odds? If the weather boost IV floor is 4/4/4 would that not be different if they kept that floor just more cumulative across all three stats?
Yeah, because you still have all the IV combinations with 4s for all the floors available, and now you’re adding everything below those that have total IVs 12 or higher. So you aren’t removing any possible combinations but are adding a lot (like your 0-4-8 example). And there’s still just one Hundo (or 3 98s, 6 96s, etc, whatever high IV someone is striving for) so you’ve increased your denominator but the numerator remains unchanged, making the odds worse.
Even if it's something for PVP that I want I prefer the weather boost for the bonus stardust and just don't worry about the PVP IVs that much.
Good points. Hundos are usually 1/4096, and with weather boost, drops to 1/1728 I believe. What do you mean by XL grinding? I didn't know there was a relationship.
There's a higher chance for higher level Pokes to appear in the wild due to the boost. Higher level means higher chance of XL candy when caught.

Greatly increases with the level, highest for catches lv31 and above.
But if you keep level boost and only remove IV boost, it would not matter.
There is higher chance of XL when you catch and when you transfer Pokemon that are higher level. I'm just commenting on WB vs. no WB here; your specific idea of only removing the IV floors wouldn't affect XL grinding if the level boost remained. That said, if I were hyper-concerned with the PvP aspect then I probably wouldn't want the level boost either. There have been plenty of times when I've caught shinies with nice IV spreads, only to find that they'd be ineligible when evolved because they're too high level.
Who downvotes this comment? The math is correct, and XL grinding has nothing to do with the IV floor. As the OP says, when keeping level boost in place. Gotta love Reddit.
