It seems that Community Days are great for gathering PVP-compatible characters, especially due to the movesets that are typically PVP focused. But if they are weather boosted they might not be able to be optimal - due to minimum IVs. I like the level boosting, but would be nice to remove the IV floor on Community Days.

Sorry if this is a well known topic, I didn't see anything when I searched.

Niantic has really stepped up and made the game full of new events and releases of pokemon in interesting ways. But I don't have time to track every single announcement - that sometimes go out to a month or more away. Does such a page exist here or elsewhere? If not, I wonder if some awesome SilphRoader could put one together. Thanks.

TLDR; Niantic could give 100 free spots of Collector's Storage where we can store our favorites that will not be used for battling, defending.

Background: Not sure if this is been discussed before, didn't see anything in the search.

Our pokemon storage is getting really big. I have space for 1150 and it is becoming unwieldy. There are several reasons to keep a pokemon:

  • battlers
  • defenders
  • waiting to be evolved (either for xp or to become battler/defender)
  • to be traded later
  • collectors. Which I'll loosely define as personal favorites and/or special event and/or non-battling rares

It would be really nice to move collectors to their own area. The idea is that you can move any pokem

My items bag is maxed out, and frequently full. I looked down and have the following Evolution items:

Item# in Bag
Sun Stone13
King's Rock17
Metal Coat5
Dragon Scale13
Up-Grade7

I don't think I've used a single item in months, as none seem to be meta-relevant.

Advice for future gens, or anything else?

DNR is an acronym for Do Not Resuscitate (often used in the medical field). For Pokemon that have decent CP but I don't feel like keeping long term, I rename them DNR. Then, when I want to take down a gym or put a poke in a gym, I will typically search for DNR and fight with them. When they die, I transfer them.

It saves Revives, makes use of the 1800CP Arcanine, clears out my Poke bag, and is a very easy way to search. I also create an update a DNR Party of 6 when I have free time.

When the Legendaries came out, it became quickly obvious that Omastar with rock quick move would be a great attacker. Everyone scrambled to see if they had any of the Legacy movesets. Unfortunately, I did not.

With new Gens coming, are there any current movesets that will be very good against future pokemon that we should make sure we keep (even if they aren't currently great)?
